Everyone is only asking if it fits their specific mower. Can anyone tell me if it actually does a good job thatching the lawn?

I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it thatched the lawn. You have to get the height right, but once there, it seemed to work as well as a dedicated thatching machine.

Yes. The one we received had all the bits for adapting it to many different blade adapters.

has anybody been successful in installing this on a Honda twin blade mower?

Yes I just used this dethatcher on a Honda hrx 217 lawn mower (it's either a 21 or 22 inch mower - don't recall). Anyway it was easy to install and the kit included washers that fit in the middle hole of the blade and center bolt hole of the mower blade base to center the blade. Then you replace the two outer blade bolts. It was an easy install, the kit had a washer that fit the Honda center hole perfectly and the dethatcher worked great. Bagged while dethatching, then replaced double blade and went over again to pick up remaining dead thatch. A high quality product - highly recommend.
