Buy it already, it's the good stuff.
I've been an avid fountain pen user for 35 plus years and I prefer Waterman ink to any other. It flows nicely from my pen, which glides across the page. It dries rapidly and when it dries, it doesn't smear or smudge. The color is uniform and I use about two bottles a year. It doesn't make my pen gummy like some other inks (Karlos, I'm talking to you, you suck).

Acceptable quality and reasonable price but could be better
Waterman is a reputed brand. Long past I used both Waterman fountain pen and ink as a student and liked them. Much later, in my thirties I switched to Mont Blanc Noblesse gold-plated fountain pen with 750 18 ct. gold nib and Mont Blanc black ink. Now I have the pen but not the ink. So I bought Waterman, which costs half of Mont Blanc. The glass bottle is OK but the container box is made of flimsy thin board and the bottle came out of it during transport. On the whole I am happy. The ink is black but I won't call it intense black. While I write, the ink flows generously through the nib, perhaps a little more than I would like. The ink dried fairly quickly. I put the ink to water splash test. The text survived but lost the original black and did not look as good as the one I wrote with ordinary ball pen. See them in the photo.Update:After my initial test of the ink, I further wrote a page or two with this ink but I am now confirmed that the colour of the ink is not intense black that I needed. So it does not suit my purpose, although others may like it.New UpdateI have bought another brand of ink but found that no better in terms of black colour. Splash test is also about the same. So I now give Waterman 4-star instead of 3.

Nice Ink
Works great with my recently purchased Jinhou fountain pen. It’s a little darker than I expected but flows nicely

Excellent ink
I purchased the Waterman ink in the shade of Mysterious Blue, and I must commend it for its quality. The color is richly pigmented, providing a vibrant and visually appealing appearance to my writing. I have observed that it performs exceptionally well on paper, with no noticeable bleeding, which contributes to a clean and professional finish. Additionally, the ink flows smoothly from my pen, enhancing the overall writing experience and making it quite enjoyable.

Classic ink. Best value in a blue fountain pen ink.
Serenity Blue is a classic ink that has been around a long time, although it used to be called "Florida Blue" in the past. It's a very affordable ink, but performs above its price range. It's well behaved, isn't prone to drying out, and easy to clean from a pen while still being waterproof enough to read the original writing. It's one of those inks people tend to use as a default ink because it works so well that you'll judge other newer inks based on how well it performs in comparison to Serenity Blue. But there's more. Fountain pen inks have this tendency to concentrate and get darker the longer they stay in a pen (likely due to slowly drying out), so inks tend to be lighter after a fresh refill and darkest as the ink supply is closer to empty. What surprised me with this ink is that it starts out as a standard office-friendly medium blue ink, but as time goes on, it pushes more towards a blue-black and eventually a blue-black with considerable red sheen. I didn't notice a lot of red sheen when I made ink swatches, it was very subtle. But after using it in practice for a while, I noticed quite a lot of pretty sheen that tends to only be prevalent in more expensive inks. But every shade from its lightest to darkest is still a nice blue ink. I expected to merely use this ink as an inexpensive ink for the office, but I didn't expect it would be one of my favorite inks.

What a Difference an Ink Makes
What a difference an ink makes. Waterman Intense Black is a great ink. It’s not as black black as I expected an ink with a name like Intense Black to be, but its interpretation of black is pretty great. I then began to see why some pen enthusiasts are also ink enthusiasts and have multiple shades of black from multiple manufacturers along with multiple other colors swatched in fancy notebooks with fancy paper I never heard of before. Count me in. I write a lot. Mainly, until recently in the notes app on my phone but pen and paper and ink while analog deepen the connection I have with the words I write. I’ve written with 2 different pens with this ink. A W&B extra fine nibbed pen and a Pilot MR Animal White Tiger with a medium nib. The pens write differently. Though you’d need a micrometer to measure the differences. Even though the ink is the same the pens left different lines and swoops. I liked the ink out of the W&B pen a hairline better. The ink arrived well packaged, on time and ready to be dispensed. The bottle looks great where I write. The bottle designed to be tipped on its side to be able to draw as much ink as possible shows me Waterman cared about its end users experience without gouging them, which makes me like them even more. I’m a fan Waterman.
