Great product at slightly higher price than average.
I'm a big fan of MXR pedals and this particular model does not disappoint. You get the six main types of reverb and a few knobs to adjust and can dial in pretty much any reverb tone you are looking for.The pedal is more expensive than Boss or whoever but the quality is much better. You can get a similar level of tone right off of professional albums. Five Stars.

Super reliable Reverb with a good chunk of options
This Reverb has something for everyone built into it. It sounds good and it's relatively simple to use. Basically any player of any genre is going to find something they can use here, even you crazy ambient music creators. However, the one caveat is this: You should really be using an isolated power supply. Without it, the pedal emits an audible background hiss. It's not terribly loud but it's a real no-no if you're actually trying to record something. I was using a cheap daisy chain cable for my pedals for quite awhile, it's an equitable option that will handle just fine for someone who's not concerned with having studio-quality sound, but I've been working to cut out as much noise from my sound as possible and getting a nice isolated power supply brick from Voodoo Lab helped a lot and completely eliminated the hiss from the Reverb. Granted you probably don't have to shell out for a $150 Voodoo Lab one, any decent isolated power supply should do the trick. With that in mind, this pedals great, tons of value for the money.

Love this thing
Here's an actual review, as opposed to a couple of the trolls (both positive and negative) on here who obviously didn't buy this thing and just want to pimp their preferred device. This is a _very_good_ reverb unit. The M300 doesn't quite have the wide range of reverb offerings of the more-expensive Strymon BlueSky (widely considered the best mid-price reverb pedal on the market). I guess its most obvious competition is the TC Hall of Fame, which is priced considerably lower than the MXR and has a similar form factor and range of reverb types (the HoF does have several more reverb types to select and has true stereo in and out without using adapters). Pricewise, it's closest to the Mr. Black Supermoon series, which is next on my plate of modulation purchases. Unlike other reviewers, I will not attempt to compare the M300 to devices that I haven't actually owned. The M300 has a dark, sumptuous reverb tone which doesn't suck the volume out of your signal. It's at the end of a seven-device chain on my pedalboard, and it sings out clear as day. Although it's digital like the Strymon, I think I actually prefer the tone out of this device compared to the Strymon, as it doesn't sound quite as sterile to my ears. That's not a definitive comparison but simply a personal observation. So far, I'm particularly fond of the Plate, Spring and Epic reverbs and have spent hours tweaking and exploring them. With all three knobs at 2:00, the Mod reverb gets a very soulful tone for songs like "Girl of my Best Friend." The Pad reverb gets some of the same trailing keyboard-like artifacts that you can get in some of the Strymon's more esoteric settings. It's quite beautiful, especially with the Tone at 5:00 and the Blend at 3:00, but probably isn't a great fit for most covers. I'd love to hear this on a big Marshall or Mesa stack.Because mine sits next to an MXR Carbon Copy delay, I'm finding that the combination of the two is a fantastic match, besides looking virtually identical. Recommend getting both if you want a straightforward, pleasing modulation sound with enough versatility to get a lot of tones while having an easy-to-dial-in recognizable sound for a lot of your band covers. That's why I went with MXR this time.Unlike the Carbon Copy, the M300 needs 250ma from your 9V power, so you need to use the bundled adapter or an external power brick. If you try to connect it to a 100ma 9V, the LED will flick on and off and the device will not operate. Batteries are not supported. The docs are pretty limited - for more ideas, you just can't beat YouTube.Just bear in mind that this item is not cheap; it's one of MXR's more-expensive pedals; it may not offer all the bells and whistles you're looking for that yet more-expensive devices do. If you own a Hall of Fame, I'd recommend comparing both with your ears first or checking out the videos. If you already have a Strymon, I'd say stick with that. If you play a lot of surf music or soul music, you can't go wrong with this on your pedalboard. It's very accessible and usable, the sound is excellent, and even though it's not the most esoteric reverb out there, it's one of MXR/Dunlop's most solid pedals I've tried.

Keeping this one
I have had three other reverb pedals and a digital reverb on my vox ac-10. Compared to those four this is by far the best sounding and quiet. It was very important to me to have these qualities as my main amp a blackstar artisan has no reverb and I hate having a pedal that you know is on. The other reverb pedals I owned before going back 10 years are the EH nano, J Rocket boing! And a walrus audio descend which was over 300 dollars. The j rocket had the most convincing reverb but was limited to just spring it also introduced a audible hiss. The EH nano was ok but was the loudest. The walrus I just couldn't get into to complicated and despite the reviews it didn't blow me away. MXR m300 audio reverb is very easy to use has 6 different sounds that are all good, I would describe them as studio quality.

The only reverb pedal for acoustic guitars.
After years of fighting with bad guitar pedals purportedly for acoustic guitars, but not, I found the greatest pedal. Seriously. I matched the MXR Reverb with an MXR Compressor pedal and finally can easily sound the way I want to on live soloes, recordings, and noodling around. The MRX Reverb (and Comp) are quiet, easy to use, and tough, with a huge range of sounds from simple to complex. Thanks to whomever created these beasties and those who recommended trying them. Doc H

Reverb that is super versatile to fit anything.
The only bad thing about this pedal is the freaking deathstar LED that will blind you when you turn it on. Simple solution is a piece of electrical or duct tape. I saw this reviewed in a couple off youtube videos and decided it was the reverb for me, it had lots of sounds you could pull out of that little box and I felt I needed something versatile and this was my go to and it was a very good purchase. MXR makes some great pedals and I cant wait to pick up a phaser and some other stuff later on, for now this pedal will be a huge part of my guitar tone and my lead guitarists tone paired with a Blackstar S100.

Best reverb for under $200 imo
Love this pedal! Very expensive for me but I'm so glad I splurged. The epic and pad are my favorites. Think hall and shimmer on other reverbs. I listened to a lot of YouTube vids before deciding. This one has the best shimmer except for the Big Sky and that's $500. It gets you really close though. So shimmer or pad on this one adds a synth sound that harmonizes/octaves the notes played on guitar. You can control how loud it is with the mix knob. Its pretty useful for mellow atmospheric music. Obviously not for metal freaks. I would say this is the best reverb in the under $200 price range with on the Big Sky beating it out.

Great reverb… with a catch
Great choice of reverb settings, great sound, easy to use. If using on a pedal board, just make sure your power supply is “fully” isolated. It lets out significant whine if not.

New favorite pedal
The reverbs on this sound gorgeous, a lot of different character within each mode by simply adjusting the tone and decay knobs. For example; I've played this pedal for probably over 10 hours now and have only really explored the Spring and Mod settings. Excellent sound quality, does not produce artifacts when pushed by a drive pedal like other reverbs. The expression pedal function on this is really easy to set-up (easy enough to change between songs); heel-down, adjust minimum settings to your liking, toe-down the expression pedal, then set the maximum settings. Other things: You can change reverbs with your foot by stepping on the tone knob. When I first plugged it in, it kept flashing and making a terrible noise - you need to power it at ~240mA, meaning only the special outputs on a pedal power work, or the included power supply.
