Circle Pad Pro - Nintendo 3DS LL Accessory (3DS LL Console Not Included) Japan Inport

Truly amazing product for the games that can use it. I personally bought it for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and it made the way I play the game totally different. It was well worth the money that I paid for it and I would recommend it to anyone that needs a second control stick in a game that supports it. Even though this is the Japanese version it works just fine on an American 3DS XL since the XL and LL are the same thing. Just make sure that the game that you want to get this for supports the use of the Circle Pad Pro. The secondary reason that I would recommend this is that it makes the 3DS much larger and adds a controller like ergonomic feel. When I take the Circle Pad Pro off now for other games the console itself feels small despite being an XL. Pros: Great for games that support it. The new shape it gives you to grip makes it feel like a console controller. The battery life is incredibly long. Comes with the AAA battery that you need to use. Cons: Disconnects fairly fast when not in use for a while (easily remedied by pressing the ZL or ZR button) Makes the stylus port inaccessible. Must be taken off to properly play a lot of games that does not support it since the R button is hard to reach with the CPP on.

The circle pad pro is currently only supported for a handful of games but is absolutely essential in order to get the most out of those games. Highly recommended for those playing Resident Evil Revelations, Shin Megami Tensei IV or Kid Icarus, and probably another couple of games I can't recall off the top of my head. As a piece of hardware it's well- designed. The system fits easily and securely. The battery change compartment is easy to access, the battery life is quite generous (40 hour range based on my experience). It makes the system much more comfortable to hold. The extra space to rest your right thumb is also extremely helpful for virtual console games from the NES and SNES era, even if the right stick is not used in them. The biggest drawback is the extra bulk when storing- with the circle pad pro attached the system may not fit in your case. Though it attaches and detaches very easily you still have to carry it. Ultimately this going to be very useful to a certain, harder-core gamer but it may not be for everyone.

When I upgraded to the 3DS XL, the original Circle Pad Pro became a stylish paperweight in my office. Enter the Circle Pad Pro 3DS XL/LL! This updated version of the CPP works fantastically! It has the same function as the orginal CPP: adding a second analog pad, and two shoulder buttons. The LZ button sits just behind the 3DS XLs L button and the RZ sits behind the CPPs R button (it is used instead of the 3DS R button, which would be out of reach with the extra length of the CPP). The point of all this is to make games like Monster Hunter, Resident Evil: Revelations, and Metal Gear Solid 3D play much more like their console brethren. Though this is a Japanese product, it work perfectly with my North American 3DS XL. It does make the console bigger, but I found it comfortable to hold, even during marathon Monster Hunts. If you found that the original 3DS was too small, and the 3DS XL fit in your hands better, you will probably not mind the extra bulk. CPP XL has a curved back which makes it much more comfortable to grip. You can plug in the power cord, adjust the volume, and put in headphones without removing the CPP XL. However you do have to take the 3DS out to change game cards or access the stylus. Taking the system out is a breeze anyway. There are rubber bumpers that keep it secure without bolts or latches of any kind (though I wouldn't suggest holding upside down). You just push the system in and roll! If you are a big Monster Hunter fan and plan on putting some serious time into MH3U...get this now!

You can't really expect the circle pad pro for the 3ds xl to be small. And it isn't. It's big. How big? Big enough to make it uncomfortable to put in my bag, impossible to slip in my pocket. But you know that going in. However, for its big size, it gets the job done, and it does it comfortably. Comparing it to the regular 3ds, the 3ds xl is alot bigger, and for my hands, a lot more comfortable to hold. Add a circle pad pro to that equation and it becomes all the easier to hold. Dont know about it being comfortable for kids though. I bought the version that had japanese print on the box, and was a little worried that it wouldnt work with my american bought 3ds. However it worked perfectly. Ive had the circle pad pro for about two months now, and havent gone tru the first battery yet (it only uses one), but i havent done any intensive gaming on it, so far around maybe 20 hours. Ive been using it for kingdom hearts 3d, and it really makes the game camera alot easier to control. I also own Resident Evil Revelations, but havent really given it much of a go with the circle pad pro yet. The only downside is that, on account of its design, it completely blocks off access to your stylus. So i end up doing a lot of finger mashing on the touch screen, but so far it hasnt been inconvenient at all. You cant shut off wireless either, not without removing the 3ds first. I think the circle pad pro communicates with the 3ds thru infrared, so no cables are necessary. It adds an extra circle pad (duh), and what came as a surprise -two new buttons. Overall it has 3 buttons, an R button because it blocks off the 3ds's R button; but it also has two triggers ZL and ZR With these additions, i have no complaints about the circle pad pro, just a "shame on you" to nintendo for not designing the 3ds xl with all these things already built in.

The Circle Pad Pro LL is great accessory for players who enjoy Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. Outside of this, it probably won't be worth your money. The japanese Circle Pad Pro LL is an accessory that also works for North American systems. It takes a single AAA battery and requires a flat-head screwdriver to get to it. The accessory simply outputs an IR signal when a button is pressed, and the 3DS picks it up. This means that if the 3DS is not attached but the button is pressed, battery life is still being consumed, so be careful about where you put it. As long as you don't leave the buttons pressed up against something when you store it, the battery should last a while. The accessory adds 3 buttons and a circle pad to the 3DS XL, but it pretty much blocks the L/R buttons on the 3DS, so a net gain of 1 button and 1 circle pad. When the 3DS is put in the cradle, it would be very hard to accidentally knock it out if you dropped it. It is nestled in pretty well. Pressing all the additional buttons feels very natural and the ergonomics feel great. The problems with the Circle Pad Pro LL are in its form. The accessory is rather large, you'd have to be wearing cargo pants to carry this thing around with you. The idea of "portability" is lost if you plan on using this accessory on the go unless you take a bag with you. The accessory's size and shape also cause a problem for the 3DS's accessibility. When using the Circle Pad Pro LL, You no longer have access to the stylus or game card, you have to remove the system to access them. I imagine this would be a hassle for games like Kid Icarus: Uprising which use the stylus often. The headphone jack is still accessible though. Also, the accessory does not have much support, only a handful of games make any use of the Circle Pad Pro LL. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is the game that makes the most use of the accessory, as it adds a lot to the game to have a second circle pad. In fact, I don't recommend playing the 3DS version of MH3U without the Circle Pad Pro LL, as it is unnecessarily more difficult without it. Other games that support the accessory are: Dynasty Warriors VS Kid Icarus: Uprising (for lefty flip) Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D Nano Assault EX One Piece Unlimited World RED Resident Evil: Revelations Samurai Warriors Chronicles 2nd Steel Diver: Sub Wars On top of this, Nintendo is making the New 3DS which is planned to be released in Spring of 2015 to North America. This New 3DS will have a C stick nub which is the "equivalent" of a second analog stick. The nub is the size of a button so it would not work too well for very finite aiming needed for FPS games, but will work great for games like Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (which I believe should support the Circle Pad Pro LL) that use the second analog for general movement. If you plan to get this accessory for compatibility with future titles which use the C stick nub, you should just trade in for the New 3DS, as it seems as though Nintendo doesn't plan on continuing support for the Circle Pad Pro LL. For instance, Super Smash bros for 3DS did not support the Circle Pad Pro LL, but the New 3DS C stick nub will be supported. Pros: +Must-have for Monster Hunter +Additional buttons + Circle Pad +Long Battery life +Great ergonomics Cons -Blocks access to stylus and game card -Shallow game support/future support -Too big for pockets -Need screwdriver to change battery Overall, I can only recommend this if you plan on putting a lot of time into games that rely heavily on it such as Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Resident Evil: Revelations, or Kid Icarus: Uprising if you're a lefty. EDIT February 2015 With the introduction of the New 3DS and its c-stick, the Circle Pad Pro has gained a lot of attention particularly from those reluctant to upgrade. In response, at least a couple of future titles have been confirmed to support the Circle Pad Pro including Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. I added another star onto my rating since this accessory is still being supported.

i've held off buying one for the LONGEST time...but i just got Final Fantasy Explorers, and it was too awkward to pan the camera without a second stick.. so i had to get this! Pros: Not as heavy as i expected.(subjective) Has good ergonomics, my hand can wrap around it better than just holding the 3dsxl with its flat body. 'Seems' durable. stick and buttons have great tactile feedback. Made in a way that you can't access the game cartridge, so no accidental pop outs. The lower left corner dangle hook has room for something. (wish the right side had an opening) Cons: EH, personally i wish it had a rubbery or grooved grip on the back. I worry a little that somehow, it might slip off my hands..(maybe its just me) Switching cartridges is a pain, because i have to pop out the 3ds xl from the circle pad pro ll first, then the cartridge. One major thing that i dont like about it is that it doesnt have its own on/off switch, if you put the ds in sleep mode, and pop it open after a few minutes, the circle pad pro turns off (good battery conserving feature..) however, you do have to dive into the options menu and activate the circle pad pro manually.. ***Don't pause, and put the 3ds in sleep mode in the middle of a boss fight to go to the bathroom or something. It will mess you up. *** All in all though, I love it.

I ordered this after picking up Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and it enhances the controls tenfold. It's also useful for other titles (Kid Icarus to name another). The CPP XL is extremely comfortable for my medium-sized hands, eliminating any cramping from long play sessions. The weight makes the unit feel cheap and light, but you'll notice the fine build quality with the actual buttons and how crisp they feel. It includes 1x AAA battery so you're all set (don't even worry about the instructions if you can't understand Japanese - the illustrations are really clear). My chief complaints with the design would be the inability to remove a cartridge or the stylus with the CPP unit attached. Maybe they couldn't get away with having a cartridge opening available (because of the IR transmitter and the clips that hold the 3DS XL onto the CPP), but incorporating a small hole for the stylus underneath the unit would've been nice. Other than those only two issues, this accessory is a MUST HAVE.

Oh my goodness, I cannot tell you how happy I am with this accessory. If you play Monster Hunter, you need this accessory. It is a little weird to get used to at first, but it really shines whenever you do underwater battles and eventually you will just stop using the D pad almost immediately. Having the extra analog stick control the camera while you're fighting A Ceadeus or Lagiacrus underwater makes it to where you were fighting the monster instead of the game. It makes the fight so much more manageable in the lot less stressful having to deal with camera angles well underwater. It's also really really useful for something like a Rathalos whenever it flies up into the air and you cannot really see what exactly it is doing. I have tried to use it for supersmash brothers, but from what I have tried, it is not recognized by the game. Monster Hunter is the only 3DS game that I've tried it with that this accessory will work with. It also does not seem to be useful at the home screen. Other than that, it is more than worth your time and money to invest in this product. If you play Monster Hunter and you are tired of having to fight the game and the camera angles that it has, get this product immediately. Absolutely worth buying!

Es un excelente producto, es verdad que solo es compatible con algunos juegos pero mejora muchísimo la experiencia de juego en ellos, el producto me llegó un poco antes de lo previsto, con la caja un poquito aplastada pero con el producto en perfecto estado. Bought this in preparation for Monster Hunter Generations, and just used it in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance. Makes a world of difference in the games, and makes the system a joy to use. A single AAA battery was included, but you'd need a screwdriver or a coin to drop it into the slot. Funziona sul mio 3ds xl, è comodo e indispensabile per alcuni giochi come Monster hunter. Unica cosa non sapevo andasse a batterie, ma dovevo documentarmi meglio io forse e gli sviluppatori potevano pensare a un modo per non rendere inaccessibile il tasto del wifi e del pennino.

This is definitely used and package has been opened, the wraps within are wild open as well. I can even see signs of damage on the controller when the plastic turned white.
