PILOTFriXion Light Erasable Highlighters, Chisel Tip, Pack of 12, Orange

Read before using with a Rocketbook; otherwise great highlighters.
DO NOT BUY THESE FOR A ROCKETBOOK!! These will smear even dried ink as they are obviously a little wet. You have to be really careful and it just isn't worth it to accidentally ruin notes because you want to highlight over them. That being said they are nice enough. Nothing outstanding but nothing hugely detrimental. I would only wish they came in a reusable container like the pen multi-pack. That would earn 5 stars.

Perfect for the Rocketbook notebook.
I bought these to use for the Rocketbook Notebook. I like them. They feel nice and write nicely.

Loved at first, dried out in a month of very light usage...
ONE MONTH UPDATE! Well, so much for the initial review below... The yellow was terrible and dried up almost immediately and I didn't care for it anyways. The orange started drying up after about two weeks of light usage. What was REALLY weird was that the orange actually turned yellow. And I mean the standard highlighter yellow, not even slightly orange... not sure what happened there but that was very odd. Well, fast forward to a full month, and the pink is dried out as well... Still giving it two stars though as the eraser still works fantastically and even month+ old ink still erases without a trace. Pretty cool stuff. Just wish it lasted longer... I do have another six pack of alternate colors so hopefully something out of there actually lasts longer...ORIGINAL REVIEW:Only had these for a few days and have limited use with them, but I really like them so far. Chisel tip is wide enough but sharp enough to be able to get good points if you need them. Seems like these may dry out quickly but time will tell. Erasing feature is amazing and works so great. The pink and orange colors are great but the yellow is the one color I probably won't end up using. The yellow is not bright and does not stand out. I'm using these on sectional charts for aviation and the yellow just isn't visible. Pink and orange are great on the charts so I'll stick with those.

After a few strokes, all three highlighters started working.
Pro's - these work.Con's VERY narrow bodied pens so will run out of "juice" very fast. I got a pack of three pens. Pre-COVID days, I would often attend online or in person advance professional trainings sometimes 3-4 days of content = 96 pages 8-1/2 x 11 of note taking. My guess looking at the size of the barrels on these pens - I doubt three pens would get me through an event. Maybe....I am used to even the smallest barrels of highlighters students and professors use. This isn't these. If you can think of the thinnest barrel ink pen, that used to be associated with "feminine pens" to give a female office worker - they type that most guys would find to be too narrow / small to be comfortable in a larger man's hand - these are more like that type of a pen.I took a photo so you can see barrel size: Bright pink is a normal highlighter (from a dollar store), then an orange Sharpie (Amazon purchase), next is the FRIZION HIGHLIGHER, then a color gel pen (dollar store in blue), then a FRIZION pen (plum color) being the narrowest body.

Doesn't erase completely, but does rinse off rocketbook
If anyone is wondering if these will work like normal highlighters on a rocket book, no they won't. They will smear your ink. They're still good for underlining, circling, etc to make things stand out. My test rinsed off completely. To me, they lost one star because when I tested one on normal paper it didn't erase all of the way even when I practically rubbed through the paper

read before you buy
I'm a huge pilot frixion fan. I've been buying the pens for years, as a college student I love that I can erase mistakes. however, the down side to the frixion pens, they put out a lot of ink. My brand new pilot frixion highlighter went dry the second day I used it in class. this was light use, I was not highlighting much content. I won't be buying anymore of these. Just seems like a waste of money, in my opinion. other than that, great highlighter!

Great for your sewing needs!
These HIGHLIGHTERS erase via 140 degree F. I use them for fabric marking on both dark and light colored fabric. On regular cotton fabric, they erase every time I iron without leaving a mark. They are bright and vivid and don't nap as you rub against the fabric (although there seems to be wear on the highlighter itself, but that's just the perfectionist in me complaining, slightly.) I would be cautious on using this on delicate fabric, but that's what test strips are for! Overall, great for your sewing needs! Sorry, I haven't tried with paper!

Awesome highlighters
You can erase and re-highlight as the product describes. Some surfaces aren't as easy to erase, though, and erasing highlights over handwritten text (especially when written with pencil) cause some smudging of the area that you erase, but the text itself still remains. The product warns of leaving the highlighters in hotter temperatures and how it'll make the highlighters not highlight afterwards. They say that this can be corrected by placing the highlighter on the freezer for a bit and that should get them to work again. I haven't tested this with the highlighters themselves. However, paper that you've highlighted can suffer a similar issue. Since the erasure of the highlights is done by friction (heat), hence their name, when highlighted paper is left in higher temperatures, the highlights virtually disappeared. Placing the paper in the freezer did not cause them to return, either.Thankfully, re-highlighting the text in the same spot was not any trouble. Others say that when they erased their highlights, they were left being unable to re-highlight that same spot again, sometimes having that issue 'bleed-through' to the opposite side of the page. I've not experienced that problem and have been able to erase and re-highlight multiples times in the same spot.

Great quality ink and erasing (only faint traces remain), with only one main con
These Frixion Erasable Highlighters work very well! The ink formulation is very good, the tip is not too thick, and they write evenly on regular paper. The erasing is also very good, and does not 'damage' the paper at all. There are still very faint yellow-ish traces of the highlighting on the paper that remain after erasing, but I only noticed them because I was looking for them, and they do not 'ruin' the paper nor hinder the reading experience.I have not experienced the issues that other customers have, like overly bright ink; I find it easy to read. I find them very convenient for highlighting in books. My only two cons are, firstly, that they are a bit expensive, but I find it understandable as Frixion is a great quality brand. Secondly, my main con is that if you highlight over pencil, you cannot erase the pencil after erasing the highlighting. This is mildly inconvenient, so make sure not to highlight over anything that you might want to later erase.

Functional but hard to read
These highlighters indeed do erase, and indeed do highlight, but the tone of yellow is incredibly bright to such a degree that writing in this highlighter would be almost illegible. Kind of hard to call them good highlighters when my eyes skip over the color because they almost mistake it for white.I would recommend getting a different color highlighter, these are simply too bright of an ink color to do the job of highlighting. I would wager that had I bought pink this would be a 5 star review. The picture included has two sets of the word test, and unfortunately it seems to have automatically tuned the colors as, looking at the picture I can read even the small text whereas on the page I can barely see it unless I squint and focus on the spot.

The work!
I was pleasantly surprised by these highlighters. I already had and used extensively Pilot FriXion Erasable pens so, partly out of curiosity, I decided to try the highlighters. They do erase nicely and I was actually surprised to discover that it's pretty handy to have the ability to clear the highlights.
