Great patterns, and easy to understand. Lots of accessory patterns, like caplets and socks

A beautifully done book. A must have for the Outlander fan who knits. Particularly beautiful are the herb garden gauntlets, the rent shawl, the healer's hands gauntlets, the boar hunt capelet and both boot cuff patterns. I've made the Falling Leaves boot cuffs already. Great gift pattern because you could probably finish up one per evening of knitting. Very clear instructions. I also made one of the Herb Garden Gauntlets. Again great instructions in both chart form if you are a chart reader and in written instructions. If you only get one Outlander Knitting book, this is the one to get. More patterns based on the actual show costumes.

Beautiful pieces in the book. So far easy to follow and I am essentially a beginner in knitting. I made the Herb Garden Gauntlets and they were easy. I have never read patterns like this, actually I have only read patterns that are written and not a picture pattern but this has both and really made it easy to understand. I found that I rather like both.

This is a book inspired by the television series and done by the editors of Interweave. I've only seen one or two episodes so I don't know how close they came to the look of the series. They have done a great job in the photography in that it sets the mood for each piece of knitwear. There are no sweaters (one wrap vest) but mostly it is accessories (capelets, shaws, shrugs, boot cuffs, cowls, stockings, arm warmers). It is on trend with the return of big knits for some of the items that's making a small resurgence at this time. I am particularly interested in the Time Traveler Reversible Vest and the Boar Hunt Capelet. Though the book is well written and photographed, I was hoping that there was more a connection with the series such as interviews with costume designers or behind the scenes look from the creators. The book is geared to those with more than beginner to intermediate knitting skills (skilled in sock knitting, patterns, and shaping techniques.

I am new to knitting but so excited by the different designs in this book. I've really stepped up my practice so I can make some of the items in this book. If you love anything Outlandish, Scottish or just love Highland Designs, you won't be disappointed with this book.

The patterns in this book are beautiful. A bit tricky to figure out if you're new to knitting. The glossery is somewhat helpful. A couple things though:1.there's no sizing guide for how to adjust the patterns. I made the stockings, and since apparently I have thicker calves than the model, they didn't look very good on me.2. If you're stuck on a pattern, or you find a mistake, there is no customer service. There is a link in the back that you can go to in the event that happens, but it was of no help.Overall, beautiful patterns, really no customer service. YouTube helps some.

Lovely book. I want to try almost everything in it! The directions are a little spread out and maybe it is a tad hard to figure out on exactly what page the patterns begin and end, but I suspect this will be not biggie when i get down to working with the patterns.

I love all things Celtic. I also love the Outlander series be in book form or dvd or sound track, I have purchased a few kits with the series items, but had to have this book also as it has more patterns. I do love to knit. The instructions are easy and the pictures are very clear. I will enjoy this book for a long time.

I loved looking at the projects in this book. The shawl I was hoping to see is definitely included. Definitely not wearable in any city to go to work. In general, most of the projects would be difficult to make because the recommended yarn is extremely expensive in these sizes and I am going to have to purchase all new knitting needles because I don't have the huge needles required to make these items. It is a little bit un-realistic for most knitters but a wonderful addition to my collection of books.

I love every pattern in this book! Lots of smaller projects that will make beautiful and unique gifts.My only criticism is that the seller doesn’t post any pics of the patterns. They would sell more if they showed you what you were getting besides the Piece in the front cover.
