Rosehips, Whole Frontier Natural Products - 1 lbs

The weight of the goods is less than what is written on the package:352 grams instead of 453 grams.(there is a photo of weighing on the scales). Cheating!

The rosehips themselves are good - clean, good-sized, well dried, and provide the brewed flavor I expected. However, that's not the only flavor they provide. It looks like these were stored near other spices and have picked up the additional scent from them. The flavor is not too unpleasant - kind of like the smell in a spice shop, but it's distracting and I would have preferred it not to be there. But if you don't care about the pure rosehips taste, you should be fine.

The product has all the qualities I was looking for: whole, organic, good value. YET the taste is very off. I was looking for delicate and sweet rose hip taste. This is more masala rose hip taste. I feel black pepper and some strong smelling spices. Maybe it’s the way they store them. I wish I could return it, because it’s such a waste.

I got these for my three chinchillas and they LOVE them! I had previously been giving them chewable Vit C tablets while I looked for an unsweetened option. I wasn't sure if they would go for it, since they had been eating the sweetened "treats," but they switched over without any hesitation.
