Repair Replacement - LCD Touch Screen Part for NDSL Nintendo DS Lite

This is a bargain priced touch screen replacement for the Nintento DS Lite.My old Touch screen was unresponsive in one corner and that made playing very frustrating if not impossible for some games.So I was looking for a cheap replacement. And this is exactly what I needed.For a few bucks my DS Lite is as good as new.Just follow the plentiful available YouTube how-to's for the repair.You would be advised to have some super thin double sided sticky tape available to glue the new touch screen onto the LCD.Also don't forget to carefully remove the old colored bezel from the old touchscreen.Leave the bezel off until everything is put back together and then stick it back on the DS screen. That way it will be perfectly aligned.I was lazy and just put everything together without the tape and the DS housing itself holds everything in place good enough for me.But for a perfect job you should tape the screen on the LCD.Also don't forget to take the protective film off of the touch screen or it might interfere with correct function.My old touchscreen also had a screen protector film on it. If yours is still good don't forget to peel it off carefully and then put it back on the new screen when you're done reassembling everything.

This was my second replacement screen. Unlike the first (from another company) this one was NOT foggy and had that very nice clear finish like the original touch screen. The installation went very smoothly for me, and everything works beautifully. (keep in mind that I probably took my NDSL apart at least a half dozen times during the first repair and thus had the whole process memorized and down to an art form.)There are some great online tutorials out there. Just remember to be careful with all the small ribbons. I damaged my first replacement and caused the touch screen to not recognize touch. (go figure)

The item arrived earlier than expected in very protective packaging, yet the quality of the screen was not satisfactory. The ribbon cable that connects to the DS board easily tore while installing, and was not the same quality as an official DS lite touch screen. Luckily, I had a friend who had a broken DS lite with a working touch screen and was able to use that one.

Apart from a slightly blueish tint that is barely noticeable, it works perfectly. Gave life back to my DS, and at the price is so worth it.

I did the repair by myself and it worked fantastically! The touch screen is exactly as responsive as the nintendo default one. Also it is so cheap! The only difference i have noticed is that the touch screen has a little bit of a different tint to it but its barely noticeable. What i mean is that it has a slightly duller color when on but it really would be unoticeable to most people. I would buy again definitely.

I installed the screen with ease. It met the same resolution as the original screen. No problems have arose, and I installed it more than a year ago.
