Worked on a 2010 Jeep Patriot
This actuator worked on a 2010 Jeep Patriot. I came across this product ( and part #) from a YT video. There are a handful of videos on how to replace this piece. I took pictures on the items I removed to get to this actuator. PLS NOTE, another YTuber used Dorman 604-029 for his Jeep patriot repair abs another YTuber used Dorman 604-021. I purchased this one because some1 used this on their Patriot based on the reviews for this product. I don't know what the difference in number mean ( 021 or 029). If you got a Patriot or Compass, get this one. It's not 100% identical but the 2 screw holes matched and the wiring harness clipped just fine. You gotta "calibrated" this. So make sure the temperature dial is at the bottom of the Blue <cold>, so the spring leveler drops to the bottom. Cannot explain. Sorry. The YouTube video will help.See pics of the original actuator taken on. The replacemet part put in place and the plastic pieces I took out.You just need a short neck. Philip screw driver to do this.Good luck everyone and thank you to the folks who make these helpful how to videos.

Fits 2014 Jeep Compass
The media could not be loaded. This part was a perfect replacement for the blend door under the steering wheel in my 2014 Jeep Compass. It was easy to replace and has worked well for the last few months. This is a much better deal than taking it to a shop where they'll likely charge you up to 10x more.

It worked
I mean it worked but I feel it could be made a bit better. Then again you could always just go oem, which is better in the long run really, but we all try and find ways to get by. This was one of those ways. Plus a lot of parts last just as long. I’ve never really had problems with this brand. Personally it kind of looks like a lot of these different brands are made the same, rebox and slap their name on it.

Good OEM replacement
Installed on my 2011 Dodge Charger Rallye Plus, to replace another Dorman unit that failed after 1 year. I think the old one may not have been the correct one (I can't find the email/invoice to verify), as there are two options for Chargers: one is multi-mode and the other is simple open/close. The one that failed after 1 year may have been the multi-mode one, because throughout last year, I can hear the thing operating trying to do whatever it is every 10-15 minutes. And it seemed to be applying so much torque, that I could hear creaking. It was annoying but I lived with it, then it failed only after 1 year. The clicking sound was back. This one is the simple open/close and the motor only operates when it's supposed to, and not constantly and aimlessly like the other one did. Much quieter and seems to be applying appropriate pressure to open/close vent doors because I don't hear the strained creaking sound anymore. I've had it for about a month and a half now and is working perfectly.

Goodbye noise!
My gals car started to make this clacking sound. I thought something had gotten into the blower fan at first but decided to research it. Turns out Chrysler blend doors have the actuator go bad on a regular basis and it makes that loud sound. Purchased this Dorman actuator and it fixed the issue. Finally, no early morning clacking.
