How can you tell if the cord is broken or if it's the main unit? Our sensor stopped working.

Honestly, I don't think you can. Our puppy chewed up our cord, so we ordered another one, but it turned out the whole unit needed to be replaced. I think it's just better if you order a whole new wet-stop.
