Nicely made and is as advertised. I gave a 4 because match holders should have a strike plate.

Nice addition to fireplacy
Looks great next to the fireplace and very handy with matches at the ready to start the fire. Best if hung on the wall near the fireplace since if you pick it up, the matches fall out easily. Better than a paper box of matches.

Fits perfectly in a small space. I was hoping the holder would also provide a striking source, but I was able to strike the matches against the top of my gas stove making this functional during power outages.

No strike plate
Very nice construction, quality and style. Can be mounted to a wall, screws not included. Since it does not have a strike plate, matches would have to be stored in its box within the holder plus loose matches can fall out of the side if the holder is tilted or knocked down.
