Auto Ventshade [AVS] Bugflector II / Hood Shield | Fits 2015 - 2022 Chevrolet Colorado, 1 pc. | Dark Smoke - 25054

I don't like drilling holes in my truck to install add-ons. My 2008 Colorado used existing holes in the hood brace which accepted a nylon insert into which you inserted a screw, similar to the way a license plate is fastened. My 2018 Colorado appears to have "blind" holes (not drilled), but the AVS ignored them altogether, and I had to drill 4 holes. Overall, it looks good as I expected it would, but I always removed my old one when I did the buffing of the truck. This one I probably won't be removing.

Prior to this purchase I had been using a bug deflector from Weather Tech on my 2017 Chevy Colorado Z71...this is a huge upgrade. After a couple years of use the weather tech deflector had worn down the paint on my hood due to movement during travel. The thing would flop around and shake while driving causing the deflector to rub against the hood. This AVS Areoskin II is very secure! The adhesive runs the entire circumference of the deflector creating a super bond. The Areoskin II isn't gonna come off or move at all. The design is also very clean and the look is rugged. Spend the few extra bucks and gets something that's going to enhance your truck, instead of harming it. I would strongly suggest this product. The only thing I would mention is that it's important to take your time installing this product. The adhesive is strong. Once it's in place it's not gonna move so you get one shot to get it right. That's not a negative at all but rather a helpful tip.About 1/2 inch of the raised edge of the aeroskin II deflector can be seen from the drivers seat but it doesn't bother me at all and I'm sure that little edge is gonna shoot them bugs right over my truck. Shipment was also fast. This product is a must buy!

Wasn't bad to install except I had all big fat thumbs that day and dropped parts left and right down in engine bay.

15 min install time. Take your time and double check placement before tape is used. Very happy!

Easy to install. Looks good on my 2018 colorado. A lot thicker and definitely more durable than I expected. Was unsure of the tape. After installation, I am confident it is not going anywhere. The only things I don't like is it causes water to pond up on the hood. And I am not a fan of the hump it has on it. Personally, I would of liked it better if it was completely flat.

This fit my truck very well

This bug shield would have gotten 5 stars if the quality would have been better. When I test fitted it to my hood with 2 people holding it in place both sides were touching the fenders and the shape would it have been on the edge of the hood like it should have been, it would still not follow the side edge straight. I bought this because I have a long trip and wanted to protect my truck and I knew that if I had returned it I wasn’t going to have it in time for my trip. So I had to sand the sides down just a little over 1/8 of an inch to both side. Thanks to someone not paying attention to quality and or checking fitment. I saw some of the reviews and they did mention fitment issues along with bad adhesive. On top of that the alcohol wipes that they sent were already dried up. For a $100+ They could have their act together and include adhesive promoter to help the crappy double sided tape they use. After sanding and shaving it down and new alcohol wipes plus adhesive promotor it lined up and made my truck look awesome. Only time will tell if that double sided tape will hold up. I would not recommend this to anyone unless your prepared to do some work to it. Delivery was on point but like always the box came mangled and where the box looked really bad it had a couple shoe imprints. These delivery people need to respect the customers and companies that keep them in jobs and not mistreat the packages that they get paid to deliver.
