Clamp worked well. I suggest trying a few practice holes to get the clamping pressure right.

The “Vise Grip” type clamps are a great concept, but some of the brands have inferior materials and construction. Milescraft is not the ultimate in quality, but the company does a good job of producing tools that are among the top consumer grade tools, which is why I own a variety of their tools and am pleased with all of them. This clamp is not the self-adjusting style, like the much more expensive self-adjusting Kreg model, but both of them do the same job with each of them having its own advantages and disadvantages. For me, the biggest disadvantage of the clamps that need to be adjusted to size with a turn screw is the regular need to use two hands when clamping different thicknesses. However, the clamping force on both models has to be adjusted with a turn screw, so in practice the self-adjustment is not as big a help as the manufacturers promote. For the large cost savings, I will gladly adjust the clamp a little more. I bought this version to use with a Jessem dowel jig, and it is much easier to use than a F-clamp when attaching the jig initially. Then I can use F-clamps if I need more stability for drilling the dowel holes or clamping other jigs or boards. I like to think of this clamp as much like a third hand as a final clamping tool.

I use this primarily with a kreg jig. It was cheaper than the Kreg brand clamp, but still works just as well.

I bought this face clamp together with Kreg's mini pocket-hole jig. I chose this clamp cuz it's cheaper than Kreg's. During use, I made the mistake of clamping down too hard on the wood surface such that I had trouble trying to release it - got to use a vice grip to press down on release lever with enough force to disengage the clamps.I think a good guideline to gauge the clamp force is to adjust the knob till the clamp just meet the wood surfaces you want to clamp, then remove the clamp(w/o loosening the knob). Turn the knob clockwise half turn, then proceed to clamp the surfaces. Was able drill in the pocket-hole screw while still maintain a good grip on the surfaces. When releasing the clamp using moderate force is adequate w/o need of vice grip.I would give 5 stars if it is able to clamp down hard yet doesn't require hulk's strength to release.

I bought it to use with my drawers slider's jig . Very compact and for this purpose it is worth the money.I will definitely recommend it if you are buying the jig from this company. They do good job 👍

Se siente fuerte y fácil de usar no solo sirve para kreg también para tablas.Hay algo que no me gustó y es que el círculo grande de apoyo el que usa de soporte el kreg para pocket hole va arriba y este lo tiene abajo por lo tanto debo voltearlo boca arriba pareciera nada relevante pero la palanca de liberación queda arriba y es un poco incómodo de soltar si tienes que hacer muchos pocket goles.Los círculos de apriete no son del mismo tamaño
