I needed clamps for the threaded section of a barbell that is slightly less that 1 inch, and these did the job perfectly. They are tighter than another brand I also bought. If your bar is slightly over 1 inch thick, these might be too tight.

I got these for a York spinlock barbell. Clamps fit very well and work great for their intended use. Would not use these for anything that requires the clip to take the full weight of the plates, but they certainly keep things in place otherwise.

These are AMAZING, they fit perfectly on the small barbells that are used in the studio section of my gym. When classes aren't in session they hide the bar clips so that people don't steal them. When my gym is super busy I find a corner of the studio and make my own barbell using these clips and I have been so thankful for them so many times! I need to buy a second pair just so I have them for work outs with friends! I have loaded the 1" bar to max capacity (all that would fit on the bar at my gym was 80#, four 10# plates on each side) and have not had any issues with them slipping. They are easy to take on and off and definitely easier than the clips provided by my gym.
