These are NOT blackout as the sales pitch would have you believe. However, I have a very bright street light right outside my living room window. These do reduce the glare from the light quite significantly. Nice soft fabric but needs a cool ironing before hanging. Personally, I think these are great value.

The curtains were excellent, fabric not to heavy but blackout and thermal just what I wanted, they were a perfect colour, very good value for money

Really good value for money. Material looks velvet and soft to the touch.I thought with the price the material would be more like a shower curtain but was pleasantly suprised.

Bought to replace my old blackout, which were not dry-cleanable as claimed, and the backing wearing off.These are a lovely fabric. I altered them to pencil pleat, having bought longer ones. Whilst they are not blackout, they do filter a good bit of light, which I am prepared to sacrifice for the ability to machine wash! I bought in Teal and Aubergine Purple.I have blackout blinds on the window too.I added photos showing the difference between the old and new. True blackout on left and these on the right. With the blinds open in the first image and closed in the second.Just to note, the window is North facing, so no direct sunlight.Pros. Great colour, lovely fabric that drapes well, good quality, machine washable, good value.Cons. Not total blackout, no lining

Really nice curtains. Thick enough and with lining so hopefully blocks out early morning light. Great !
