Used for sintering SiC instead of liquid mold. Works just as well.

So far after heating and cooling it a dozen times no cracking or degradation apparent. Has a slight taper to remove the ingot which works nicely without any release agent.

Have been using at 500-700 F range for bismuth metal. Graphite appears to have excellent thermal conductivity, so it can heat up and cool down very quickly. Use the right protective gear and this thing works like a charm.
