Worked perfectly for removing door lock.
We had a rusted in screw to remove. The screw extractor gripped the screw head so tightly that it broke the head off of the rest of the screw. It was on so tight, I had to use vise grips to get it loose from the screw extractor. Now that's performance. Luckily for us, the screw stump was in a piece we were going to throw away anyway. Advice on how to make it work: 1. both ends of the tool rotate counter clock wise. 2. Must use VSR drill on lowest speed.. 3. Apply a lot of force and squeeze the drill trigger carefully so it rotates less than once per second. 4. The predrill hole must be deep enough so that the point on the extractor end doesn't bottom. Price was extremely reasonable. The lady I did this job for thought I was a mechanical genius. Actually, Irwin gets the credit. The right tool makes you look smart.

It works!
I spent weeks looking at reviews and youtube videos. It just all became too much because for every one positive review lies a negative review. Yes, there are cheaper options out there even supposed titanium extractors. However if you look closely they're just titanium coated. I landed on irwin as I have several irwin hand tools I'd give it a run. As one reviewer said to go extremely slow, I set my drill on low speed high torque and push it reverse and touched the trigger a hair. If it takes less than 1 second for a revolution you're going too fast. After two minutes of going in slo mo then switching to the extractor the bit gripped on and as soon as I saw the screw spin I just powered it out. This is a car interior screw that stripped, 5 minutes of putting pressure on it by going slow was a bit of a workout but it works!

Works well.
Used this to remove frozen screws in a automotive brake rotor application. It worked well.

Almost worked :(
It broke off on me while using my 1/4” Milwaukee drive. Now it’s inside the original broken bolt. Top things to remember if you’re doing this job,1). ALWAYS go in reverse with the aggressive drilling side first.2). Make a deep enough hole for the extraction side of the bit to grip on.3). When you’ve made a deep enough hole, go super slow with the extraction side (other side) of this drill bit. Otherwise, it will break. Better yet, if you think you’re going to break the bit, get a manual extractor that fits in the hole and just wrench it out with that and a socket that fits. Now I gotta buy a different set that involves left handed drills.

Disappointed
Have many Irwin products and those live up to the name. Saw them tested online and, of course, the name is what sold it. Glad I didn't buy the set. Right out the gate, used it to try and take a stripped deck screw from wood. Failed miserably. This ended up in the trash next to my broken deck screw.

Must have tool
I have tried many screw extractors and the only one to work for screws easily is this product. Some of the bad reviews I have read on here are trying to use these for bolts on cars and the such that is not the intended use for these. I use them at work on 8mm button heads that are stripped out and they save me hours of time. Irwin dose make a nice broken bolt set which I have and it works as well but when removing bolts it is useful to drill all the way through the broken piece so you can use the proper extractor

Great removal bit
I am an aviation mechanic and I've used many brands of removal bits and the aviation fasteners have some exotic metals and this one holds up really well the only problem I have is the other mechanics borrowing it and not returning it
