We do not use a inner tent and have no problems with bugs in the summer, even in northern wisconsin in the woods. The fire inside is so sweet. Take good care of it and will last a lifetime. The company put alot of thought into the details and used quality products, which is why it is costly. You need to compare to wall tents, not Guide Gear. Review: cost - this thing is way TOO EXPENSIVE!
