Did not work. The two wires were not soldered together which is required for the probe to work. Had someone local weld it.

Works, but...
Rated to 1000C/1852F. Shrink tubing/glue at the end didn't stand up to 700F. So now the probe end is loose from the insulation. Still works but have to be extremely careful with it. I'll keep it around but definitely looking for something else to measure the high temp devices I am messing with (gas stoves, ovens, kilns, forges, and the like).
