The Boogie Board is a surprisingly simple device. Write/draw/scribble on it. Click to clear. It's kind of like electronic scrap paper - no wadded up balls in the trash. Very eco-friendly!I am a teacher, and I use this like a portable blackboard when I help students one-on-one. We have one at home on the fridge that holds our running shopping list. (We take a picture of it with our cell phone when we go to the store.) My daughter and her friends doodle away on my extra one, and I've been known to take quick notes on it as well.I won't say you can't live without one - but I do like living with one. (OK, three.)

I like this product - Boogie Board eWriter with 8.5 inch LCD screen, very much - finally, I can see we go "paperless" in real life. I was looking for something similar to be able to communicate with my friend, who is much older and have a hearing problem. Nobody could tell me if something like this existed, so I started researching Amazon products and found whole line of Boogie Boards available, and chose this model for the good price, compact size, fine description and being very useful exactly for the purpose of writing notes "paperless and pen less", many times over.Highly recommended.Larisa V.

I was excited about this product because my friend brought hers to school (a different one) and it was very cool & fun to draw on. I got mine and opened it - the packaging was already torn - and got the pen out. I scribbled on it to see what it'd look like and was disappointed by how dull the color was. Then I put the stylus into the slot it goes in and tried to get it back out. Only the little metal piece at the top came off so now the pen piece is completely stuck in there. I could just use my fingernail or some other makeshift pen but I don't want to seen as it was supposed to work on its own. Only positive feature I'd say about this is the erase. It goes very quickly and erased the whole board; but then again I only used it for a total of two minutes. I'm returning this asap.

I stumbled across this item one day while out shopping last year and had never see one before. I decided to get one and have never regretted my decision. While Christmas shopping online at Amazon last week, I ran across this particular one which has the stand feature which mine doesn't. You can't beat their price, and since we've had so much enjoyment using ours, I bought two for Christmas presents this year. It's a lot of fun for the whole family to use while also serving a useful purpose.

Thank you for asking me to review this Boogie Board. There are two separate parts to my response.First, this is not the B.Board I ordered. I asked for another of the one I'd bought a few days before. I received a completely different one. It is less attractively packaged and comes without a slip-case. The previously ordered one came with a case and was altogether much better packaged by the manufacturer.Second, the board itself is OK, but is heavy for its size, which makes it awkward to handle, unlike a previous one I'd had. The B Board is a very useful gadget, but I'm very disappointed in the one I just received.

Works as advertised. The stylus, however, would not pull out. The clip came off, leaving the stylus stuck in the top of the frame. Had to super-glue the clip back on and then gradually work it out. Now that it's out, it works great, but we have a big pile of glue on top of the stylus. So once we fixed that, it works great. But disappointed that the stylus was stuck.

I opted for this model which is slightly more expensive than the one below because it has a user-replaceable battery. This thing has provided so many uses from:* Leaving notes for the family* A way to practice handwriting with the kids* Doodling* Tracking shopping listsBefore buying this we used to have the magnetic pads on the fridge that would always rip on their own weight. The magnets on this are very strong, yet this thing is impossibly light.

this thing has saved me so much paper and ink/lead just from all the equations I need to practice for class that I don't really need to keep around, just working stuff out on paper I would trash later is silly when I can use this and it's awesome fun to use I doodle on it sometimes, use it for shopping and to do lists it is great this is the version that has a battery you can change, the older model you can't change the battery yourself so I spent a few extra bucks on this one I love it.

Do not buy. I thought it would last forever but no. The erase function stopped working even though i replaced it with a new battery!.

Fancy modern version of toy doodle board. The only minus is that it is difficult to read in dim light.

Gave this as a gift. Was a super hit, the great part is that unlike a chalkboard you can lock what you have on the board and unlock it when you wish. Definitely a keeper
