Getting moisture inside the gun can wreck it... does this pump have a desiccant tube or silica gel or anything to scrub water out?

When I returned the pump the second time they added a desiccant tube at no charge - the pump still failed me. I have a $179 boat anchor.

Keep moisture out of the pump and gun. If you live in a humid climate, use a dessicant kit. One is available from the pump manufacturer, Sun Optics (817 783 6001)3. Lubricate the pump with silicone base. Do not use petroleum based lubricants.4. If the pump seals fail, replacements are available from Sun Optics. Sun Optics can also answer technical questions and provide some telephone assistance.

how long will it take to fill a benjamin marauder?

The first time you fill it will take a longer as you are going from 0-3,000 psi. So the first time like 20-30 min. or so. It all depends on how tough you are really. You do want to check the temp of the pump by putting your hand on the shaft and not get it too hot. My brother had one go out on him and we think it is because he got it too hot. After that first time it depends on how far you shoot down your pressure. If you try to keep the pressure in a tight range, because you do not have a regulator, then it will not take as long to pump back up. I am talking about only shooting from 10-20 shots between fills. You can figure about 2-3 pumps to replace the air for one shot. I have a bottle and it is really nice for bench shooting and shooting in the field, but I would not do away with my pump as it takes a bit to get to the paint-ball shop to get my bottle filled.
