Lew'sWally Marshall Speed Shooter 75 Spinning Reel

Got this small speed shooter 75 reel for my ultralight setup. I mainly catch bluegill and perch on it but I’ve also easily managed a few large carps, bass and red horse with no issue. The drag system is smooth like butter. The flashy green color is also pretty darn cool looking.

Pretty nice reel for ice fishing with nice bright color helps it stand out in the snow. Seems well built. Used it today icing some bluegill and it did great. Ill be using it for walleye soon so we will know how it holds up soon enough!

Was reading an article that had this particular reel listed and was recognized as a top reel for the price point by KVD. i have to say for having paid sub 30 this is the nicest smoothest reel i have in my tackle box, most seem to have a slight skip or something while reeling that just makes them slightly annoying to use. this is by far one of my new favorite reels for crappie and panfishing. the color also is pretty cool so it stands out. otherwise has your typical drag and reel features. not much else to really say.

I had the reel 1 week and took it to our lake. I was placing the rod down and the handle nicked a rock and snapped almost at the reel. It’s made of a cheap magnesium. Smooth on the outside , but a very porous structure on the inside... I can see why it snapped. The reel itself worked smoothly, but I can’t get past the cheap build of the handle...come on Wally... this item represents you!
