Some high-capacity models make pretty loud snapping sounds when used. I work in a really quiet office, how loud is this stapler?

This stapler is very quiet. In a police records office, the secretaries routinely secured 20+ page reports all through the day without issue. For maximum capability, use the Max staples. Cheap staples don't work as well for maximum capacity. You get what you pay for.

A stapler is only as good as the staples. What are the BEST staples to feed this beastie?

The plain staples will work, but we had the best luck using the Max staples when pushing the capacity to 20+ page reports all day. Some generics worked fine, some didn't, the Max always did.

When I staple a coin holder, does the stapler comes all the way down and slams the coin?

No it doesn't. I ordered this stapler specifically for coin holders and it works fine. Pressing it all the way down still leaves plenty of room for the thickness of any coin. I had to laugh at the comment from the person who thought someone was trying to staple through a coin! They clearly had no idea what a coin holder even looks like. I use it on 1.5 x 1.5 paperboard holders. Not sure about clear "flips" though.
