Low profile, nice working fan
Bought this fan to mainly help moving air from a room with ac to living room/kitchen that don't have a possibility to put ac in. This is the first tower fan I used, so I can't really compare it to a similar product, but it does meet my requirements. It has a small footprint, so I can put it in a doorway, without it being too much in the way. It's pretty quiet on the lowest settings, and on the highest you can hear it, but the noise is not bad at all. My thru the wall ac is much louder. It pushes a lot of air, even on the lowest setting. It oscillates, it may not be a 90 degrees, but it's not much less. I also like the fact that it doesn't turn on the base, only the part with the grill oscillates. It makes it easy to move the fan, without switching it off. It has a wind setting, which simulates natural wind by alternating higher and slower speed. I don't really use this function myself much, but it may have an appeal for some. I like the fact that the fan is on a slight angle, so it blows air a bit towards the top. This way it doesn't have to be very tall and it still fills the room nicely, with a breeze.Assembly is very simple, with just 5 screws (included) to attach a two piece base. It does help to look at the manual if it's a first time you'd do it, but it's literally a few minutes process. When I ordered it, there was a one review for it, so I was I bit skeptical, just like the other reviewer, and I mainly based my opinion on the FC3-35R-12 model. When you go to that model's page on amazon, it lists the FC-35R-A as a newer model of the other one. I don't know what the difference between them is.I was actually able to sleep with the ac off, with just the fan blowing on me, and felt very comfortable on a night, that prior to getting the fan I would have to have the ac on.If I'm pressed to look on the negative side, sometimes, when I turn the oscillating function on, I hear a little noise, which disappears after a second. It only concerns me, because someone wrote in a FC3-35R-12 model review that this function was loud and eventually stopped working altogether, if I remember correctly. So far so good, though it's only been two weeks. One other thing, which seems like a lot of tower fans share, it may not be easy to clean on the inside, once dust accumulates on the blades. It looks like it should be possible, to unscrew the tower and separate it into two parts, so it may be possible, though not very convenient. All in all, I'm very happy with this fan and would purchase it again. If you need a very strong tower fan, you may be better off with Lasko High Velocity or a Lasko hybrid fan, but if the place you want to cool down, is not huge this should be more then adequate.

WOW I really Like this fan!
This is a really great fan! I have had a cheap no name brand Tower fan for like 10 years and it finally quit this summer. It worked ok ,but noisy and had issues... I had looked at several different models and brands. I wanted a 35" as that was the height of my the one that I was replacing. I was really intrigued by the how this unit's fan cage would oscillate vs the whole unit moving. Keep in mind that anything that moves air is going to make some sound, but this is very quite to me! Especially comparing it to the one I am replacing! It moves a lot of air and is in fact very economical to use!I measured the Wattage results. LOW 25 Watts/ MEDIUM 30 Watts/ HIGH 40 Watts.. Add 3 Watt for Oscillation feature. Some Fans use over 100 watts! One feature I really like about this fan is when you turn it off it stays on the function where it was set when it turned off. I keep it on oscillate. Some fans you have to reselect that every time you turn it on.. It also oscillates fairly quickly. Some fans are really slow moving on the oscillating feature..It is a little smaller and less of a foot print then other Tower Fans. It is quit sturdy and not going to be easily knocked over..Many of the tower fans are being designed with an upward angle for the air flow. I wish they would just include louvers to do this. I use this for my Dogs too.. I just put a book under the base to counter the angle.. With the Squared base it is still pretty sturdy. I hope I get many years from this great fan!

BRING IT ON SUMMER, I AIN'T WORRY 'BOUT NOTHIN!
PROS: (1) This fan oscillates from a station frame which is really nice. Standing fans I have had in the past always rotate the whole body from a stationary base. A simple benefit to this is you always know where the center of the fan's range is (something that was annoying to figure out with other fans). (2) The construction is SOLID I was actually really impressed. It is sturdy and the bottom stand bolts well. It by no means looks expensive or luxury, however. (3) The remote control action is really precise, almost no lag time. (4) the breeze modes and timers are awesome.NEUTRALS: (1) I'm not a *fan* (hahaha puns!) of the color scheme... at all. (2) the fan has quite the slant to it... for me it's an aesthetic issue but i mean it makes more sense in terms of air flow. the back of the base and the top of the fan align, so it can be flush against a wall, making a kind of triangle shape. (3) The remote feels cheap (but there is a nice slot in the back to keep it hidden when not in use).CONS: (1) The remote battery cover is pretty bad- i had to tape it shut with a bit of electrical tape. (2) when the remote slides into the back of the fans holding spot ITS FREAKING TIGHT! I needed to pry it out :(So all in all most of my gripes were with the color and the remote. But the fan (if the remote and look of it doesn't matter so much) is a great buy. It is smoothness airflow. There is a bit of mechanical sound from when the chamber oscillates, but most fans are like that around this price range/quality range are like that so I didn't count it against it (being the norm as far as a I know).BRING IT ON SUMMER, I AIN'T WORRY 'BOUT NOTHIN!
