Great for Linux
After a bit of setup, the PreSonus 1810c is working great on my Fedora 41 system with ADAT (using the Behringer ADA8200). I'll detail some of the things I had to do to get things working below, but your Linux system may have varying results. At first the sample rate was stuck at 88.2kHz, and therefore I was only able to use 4 of the 8 additional ADAT inputs. However I quickly found you can change it to 44.1kHz by adding "snd-usb-audio vid=0x194f pid=0x010c device_setup=1" (no quotes) to "/etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf" (create the file if it doesn't exist). After that, reboot, and you should find all the ADAT inputs available at 44.1kHz. You can change device_setup's value to choose different sample rates.I also made sure to pick the 1810c Pro Audio profile in KDE's audio settings, rather than the Surround 7.1 option, so that applications know I'm in stereo. After sorting those things out, I added all the inputs and outputs I needed in Bitwig under pipewire, and it's been smooth sailing so far. The interface itself is nice too, it feels solid and I like how the knobs feel.As far as I know, the next cheapest interface that has ADAT, and is known to play nice with Linux like this one does, is the Behringer UMC1820, which might not appeal to those looking for something that has better build quality and reputation. For those people I highly recommend trying this out.

Sonar
I was a many year user of Cakewalk's Sonar. And did not like the direction Bandlab was taking it. So I looked around and Studio One looked pretty nice. I bought the 1810c with the included Studio One license. I couldn't be happier with both of them. Studio One is remarkably similar to Sonar. After a brief familiarization with it, I was able to jump right in and start using it. The 1810c is an excellent piece of gear. For a single user home recording setup, it has everything I will ever need. The sound quality is really good. The direct Z monitoring solves any latency issues if your PC is not a powerhouse. I have a Dell Inspiron 1310 and it works fine. Overall I'm very impressed with them.

Board malfunctioned after warranty, support offered no way to repair it
The pre-amps are great, the software is amazing offering loop-back, individual monitoring, a great mixer, etc. The device itself is sturdy, lots of ports, the USB-C connection is very fast with minimal latency. The biggest downside for me was that the board malfunctioned a few years in rendering the rear line-in jacks useless. I wasn't aware it was a malfunction and I thought I was maybe doing something wrong, so I stuck to using the front 4 ports for the next year or two (I moved house a few times and didn't have a studio for a while so ended up not using it at all for 9-10 months). When I started recording again, I found a need for the line-in inputs and tried it on different computers, different cables, and also reset it to factory settings. After talking with customer support they said they can't offer repairs or any help, basically meaning that this 400 EUR device was just a paperweight, no way to do anything to repair it as they don't offer board repairs or any type of service outside of warranty. I find it sad because it was such an amazing device, but with this type of support I'll be moving away to another brand.

Amazing sound quality!
I had to step up in quality and functionality needing to move up to 4 channels for home recording. Having used the same interface for almost 10 years, I was starting to have issues with latency. The Presonus thus far has exceeded my expectations. What really struck right of the bat, was the sound quality. I use it with the Presonus Studio One DAW and it is the perfect companion.
