Very satisfied - simple, inexpensive, and reliable video baby monitor!
Researched baby monitors quite a bit and settled on this one. I'm still a bit shocked a product that can do this much is so inexpensive and (so far) reliable. The camera is small and unobtrusive. The display is light, compact, and straight forward. The VOX setup works great (only turns on the video + sound if the sound goes above a certain level). It allows us to sleep without hearing every noise but kicks in as soon as the baby starts crying. The battery lasts quite a while and I've never had any reception problems taking the display around a 2 story house. Got the system set up within 5 minutes.Mic quality is decent. I don't use the talkback feature much and I don't use the lullaby feature.Literally, the *only* trivial issue I've had I have is that when pressing a button to override the VOX sleep mode, that first button press also does the normal function. That means if you press the down button, it overrides VOX but it also turns the volume down one notch. Not a big deal and I've learned to just press the OK center button, but it might be an opportunity to improve.UPDATE: Almost a year after purchasing this, it's still working great. Probably the best value baby item we purchased! We still use it every night and during nap times. The microphone in the video monitor allows mom to tell the little guy to go back to sleep if he wakes up in the middle of the night. We've even used the lullaby feature a couple times and it's better than expected.

Great Features For An Affordable Monitor
I decided against wireless due to the fact we travel so much and don't want to have to rely on connecting to wifi for it to work. So this monitor was the cheapest digital monitor I could find with the basic features I required - bigger than a 1" screen, decent range, and a temperature read out.I've only been using it for a short time so if anything changes I will update my review. But as of now, I'm so impressed with this little monitor! I spent nearly $200 for my last name-brand monitor and this one is better! (Maybe that's partially due to technology improving in the last 4 years since my last purchase tho)*The picture is better quality, my son's movements are clear and fluid even in night-mode*The night-mode brightness is better and clearer*I'm in love with VOX mode (I obviously haven't had problems like other reviewers have) where it goes into power saving mode until a sound is detected. My son has a sound machine in his room so one of my biggest annoyances with my old monitor was, even on the lowest sound setting, I could hear it all night long. With VOX mode on, the video and sound both turn off when baby is quiet then when he/she makes noise it all powers back up - and you can choose between high and low sensitivity; low is perfect for me.*The range is awesome! (again, compared to my old monitor) His bedroom is at the back of the house and I can get the mail, which is about 4 houses up the street, and it still only cuts out for just a split second once or twice.*The screen isn't as small as I was afraid of. I went from 2.8" to 2.4" which isn't drastic but I wasn't excited about going down at all. But because the picture is overall much clearer I don't mind. But I'm not someone who needs to see every little detail of my baby via monitor - I just want to see that he's sleeping sound and not trying to escape ;-)Potential con that others mention: it does take a lot of natural light for the night-mode to kick off. My blinds and curtains have to be almost wide open in a south facing room (which has a lot of summer sunshine.) However, this isn't a bother to me because I only need to see him when he's sleeping, and my son sleeps in the dark ;)

Fantastic video monitor, and cheap!
One of the best purchases we made! For about half the price of other video monitors, this thing works fantastic. Highly recommended. If you're debating between this and an audio only monitor, get this. I wished we'd done that since the beginning. If you're debating between this and a more expensive video monitor, we've been really happy with this and have no regrets going for this cheaper one.Pros:- Excellent night vision- Good sound- Rechargeable. You'd think this would be a no brainer, but the audio monitor we had before this used regular batteries...- Talk back and lullabies are nice and work well, but frankly, we never use them.- Range seems good. Our nursery is on the other side of our (admittedly small) apartment from our bedroom and has a couple doors/walls in between and we've never had a problem with signal.Cons- No clock on display! We do routine checks when our LO is struggling to get to sleep and having a clock in the top bar would be really nice.- Colors get weird when the room is bright (gets sort of a red tint). Doesn't affect us, as we only use it for naps/nights.- Controls are a little funny, but are fine.Other- Some other reviews have complained about the light, plastic build feeling cheaply made. This hasn't bothered us in the least. We've had ours for a little over a month now and have dropped the receiver multiple times without problems.

Good price for all the features
I've had this just over a week. Our other monitor died and we needed a more affordable one. (we have gone through 4 other monitors - 2 different brands and since I was unimpressed with the lifespan for the price I paid I was willing to try a brand I've never heard of)This works fine for what we need, to see, hear, and talk to the kids.Set up was easy for the most part. I had a hard time adjusting the camera I hung on the wall. trying to get the camera straight on the crib without it looking lopsided took some work.-night vision: is too dark.Occasionally it's brighter if it's set to just use one camera but mostly it's too dark.(we bought an extra camera) It's always dark when its scanning both cameras. Increasing the brightness of the screen doesn't help.-Battery: I do like how long the battery lasts. Our old one (Motorola) always had to be plugged in and eventually the charging jack broke off from the circuit board and was useless.-small and light weight: easy to carry from room to room or even stick in my pocket-temperature: not sure how accurate it is (but I don't know if the old one was right or wrong either)-zoom: never used it on any monitor (2 kids in and I'm not worried about watching my kids chest move to make sure they are breathing)-music: never use this either-VOX: cool feature I've never had before (screen stays off until a kid makes a noise) but I haven't really used it-picture: its pretty clear (unless the night vision is on)-Camera: are not adjustable from the monitor (was kind spoiled from the old monitor we had) but not an issue.I wish you could turn the screen off. the screen will not stay off in scan mode. The VOX setting is cool but I don't want the screen to turn on at all at night. (one kid is a talker in his sleep) But when you lay the screen facing down you can't see the light or the sound indicator lights (those things can be surprisingly bright at night and our old one you couldn't hide/cover them easily)sometimes monitor will amplify the sounds with this high pitched noise but I simply turn off/on the monitor and it goes away. (happened twice so far)I say that for the price and all the features you get and about $100 less than brands, its been a good purchase. So far so good.
