Gone are the days of the "family movie." Having younger children who aren't quite old enough for PG-13 movies, and too young to always be watching Disney movies, it's pretty difficult to find clean, fun, live-action movies that our whole family can enjoy. The Free Willy series helps to fill a gap in that department as the movies are interesting and captivating enough to keep everyone watching from start to finish. While I fully believe the best of the series is the original, all four movies are good enough for younger children to merit multiple viewings, and the fact you get all of them at a budget price is another great reason to pick up this set.Even though there are a few cheesy groan-worthy moments throughout the series, Free Willy is a great family movie collection that pretty much everyone will enjoy. If you have any animal lovers in your household, they'll be certain to enjoy these movies that much more. A great deal and highly recommended purchase.

I was a little hesitant to buy this set because several reviewers mentioned not receiving one of the DVDs in the set. My guess is that they may not have noticed that there are 2 movies on each dvd. The first dvd has Free Willy and Free Willy 2 and the 2nd dvd has the 3rd and 4th Free Willy movies. Great set for an incredible price! I loved these movies when I was a kid so it has been fun reliving it with my daughter! Highly recommend!

The 3rd movie was upsetting because the fishermen were trying to kill the whales, but had a good ending when they got caught. REALLY enjoyed seeing Bindi Erwin in #4! Fun movie

I had been unable to find a copy of the original Free Willy movie I had on VHS, so was delighted to find this copy on DVD. This film was made in Oregon and features Keiko the Orca whale who was indeed rescued from an inadequate environment in Mexico and came to live for a few years in our Oregon CoAst Aquarium. I was privileged to see Keiko several times. He seemed happy in his much larger habitat in Oregon. Well meaning people thought he should be free and he ultimately was released far away from Oregon in Iceland. He didn’t live for very long after his release and always seemed to crave the presence of humans. Sometimes freedom is not the right thing for animals habituated to humans, but it is a judgment call. Anyway, it is a delightful movie for kids and adults alike.I have only seen the original and Free Willy 2 so cannot speak to the rest of the “Willy” movies.

Just received this set in the mail today. I was leery about ordering it, out of fear that all four films would be on two double sided discs. I was pleasantly surprised that Warner Bros included a disc for each of the films, just as if they would have been purchased separately!I did want the Blu Ray of at least the first film, but it's as much as this entire set. Also, the second and third films aren't released on Blu Ray. This set just makes more sense to get.If you loved these films as a child yourself, or you have kids today, pick this set up. For ten bucks it's well worth adding to your collection!
