Keeps my wife's gallbladder issues and muscle cramps under control
My wife developed gallbladder stones and started experiencing terrible pain and nausea as a result. Two consults with a surgeon and an internist both resulted in recommendation for surgical removal. We weren't thrilled about that, and I read online that maybe tens of thousands of gallbladder removals in the US aren't necessary. Also, about 5% of people who have their gallbladders removed experience terrible side effects, some having to eat zero-fat diets for the rest of their lives to avoid severe stomach upsets. At first we tried "Stone Breakers" pills on Amazon, which seemed to stop her immediate gallbladder attacks. Those are expensive, and could be harsh on her body, so they didn't seem like a long-term solution to prevent her gallstones from building up.After a lot of online research, we decided to try malic acid, and since she started taking one of these daily, there have been no more gallbladder attacks, for at least 3-4 months. Before, gallbladder attacks were a monthly occurrence. I wish I could get her to drink more water on a consistent basis, take high-quality magnesium supplements and deal with stress in a better way, but at least these pills seem to prevent the gallbladder attacks. Malic acid is a natural ingredient in apples and pears, so I see no long-term health concerns over taking it daily. As a side note, the one or two days she ran out of these malic acid pills (and didn't think ahead to reorder them!), she immediately experienced severe muscle cramps in her feet and toes, something she has dealt with most of her life. BUT, as long as she has been taking malic acid, her foot cramps have stopped. If you're taking a high quality magnesium supplement for anything, such as chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, muscle pain or heart issues, it is recommended to add malic acid, which is shown to help the body absorb magnesium more effectively. Malic acid has definitely helped reduce my wife's gallstones and prevent gallbladder attacks, as well as stopped her muscle cramps.

Worked great for me!
I purchased this after I read that it would be a good substitute for drinking apple juice during a gallbladder cleanse. After using Malic Acid for over half a dozen cleanses, I would say it works just fine! In fact for my first cleanse I passed stones before even drinking the oil/grapefruit mixture!Originally, I was searching for a way to cut out the massive amounts of sugar that drinking tons of apple juice can bring. This is a sure way to go! I usually take at least 2-3 tablets a day for six days and then drink epsom salts at 6/7, 7/8 and 9/10 (depends one what time I start for the evening). By 10 or 11 I drink the oil/grapefruit mixture and go to bed. The next day is always successful in passing GB stones. I also just did a cleanse where every night I took the oil/grapefruit mixture and that worked great too!I have been very satisfied in using this product and will continue to do so! But I still caution you to do your research- I do know some people who did not have as good a result using this.

I understand now
I have fibromyaglia, and finding safe and effective pain relief is a constant scavenger hunt. I've done some damage to my kidneys taking too much OTC NSAIDS before I was diagnosed (hopefully that will improve now that I don't take them). Developing a kidney stone from one of my Rx meds hasn't done me any favors either. I kept seeing other fibro suffers recommend malic acid or a malic acid and magnesium combo. Ordered these and started taking one a day in the morning with a magnesium supplement (as this does not contain that, it's purely malic acid). If it sits in your mouth a bit too long as you're getting your water (or whatever) to take it, you can taste the sourness - this is the same acid used to give sour gummies their sourness. It's odd, but not too bad, though I wouldn't want it to break in my mouth because it's very damaging to teeth (dentists use it and will also tell you that if you eat something like sour gummies to not brush right away, to drink water and wait 30-60 minutes before you brush or you can actually brush the enamel right off your teeth).Back to the matter at hand, while malic acid has many uses, I'm not here to write about those. On the matter of pain relief, I feel it's helped greatly. Three days after I started taking it I noticed a difference, and it kept getting better. I'm not pain free, I still have to be very careful how I move and how much I lift and/or carry so I don't trigger a flare, and it doesn't do anything for sudden pains when I move wrong, but my everyday pain level has gone down. When measuring my pain, my everyday level was running at about 5, and a flare or a wrong move would spike me to an 8 or 9. This is a big bottle, and I'm more than halfway through it now, but my everyday pain level has gone down to a 3, on a really good day I'd call it a 2 (not many of those, but it's nice when it happens). Again, it doesn't stop the pain of sudden spikes, and I don't know how effective it will be during a full blown flare, but right now it seems to be helping. I do also take other supplements and Rx meds as well, so I won't say this is a magic pill or useful by itself. It does work best when taken with magnesium (I take it with one that provides about half of the RDA) and with food. When I skip breakfast I hurt more, so I try not to take it on an empty stomach.Bottom line: Best taken with magnesium supplement and food, check to make sure they don't contraindicate any other meds you're taking (as magnesium shouldn't be taken at the same time as neurontin, and I presume that would go for Lyrica, too, since they are very similar). One more tool in the battle against pain, though it may depend on your type of pain. I've found it helpful to me and will be buying this again.

Hard to find product
I take Malic Acid and Magnesium supplements as part of my daily regiment. Malic Acid isn't easy to find, especially a container of this size, so ordering them from Amazon is a given I get them delivered to my front door. I've bought from this manufacturer before and I'm pleased with the product.

Magic Acid Capsules 800mg
I used this product to help soften and then loosen kidney and liver stones as described in holistic literature. I took one 800 mg capsule per day then eventually two. It didn't create any digestive discomfort during my use of this product and it helped me to pass biliary and liver stones (green in color). I used the Malic acid capsules in connection with other known supplements to rid myself of hereditary stones that had at one time occluded my gall bladder that I lost to cholecystectomy. You can also use pure organic, cold-pressed apple juice such as during a juice fast before you are to pass the stones. I decided to use both products because stones can be stubborn to release themselves from the body.I used Lakewood Organic Apple juice that you can purchase here at Amazon or anywhere. It was cheaper at my local Publix and tastes really good. I'm going to have some ready for Thanksgiving.
