Make Your Games Fun Again!
I had previously purchased the Powersaves Pro (Black Version) and it did not work out of the box, the included code did not work, neither did the one I paid $12 dollars for from Datel's Codejunkies website. 3 days after I had purchased the Black Version it still did not work nor did the company respond to my emails. This Yellow Version, however, worked right out of the box. The included code, the USB cable, and the dock in which I insert my game carts all work perfectly. The software installed smoothly and the connection to the Powersaves servers works without a hitch. I was even using this Yellow Version, Action Replay Powersaves for 3DS before I had even gotten the packaging off my lap, it was that fast and that easy. I had no issue connecting the USB dock, or the included cable, or inserting my cartridges or using the service. I live in the USA and was worried that I would receive one for the EU but when it arrived it looked identical to one I had seen in a Youtube video in which the unboxer simply plugged it in and it worked; yellow packaging, and a blue "Datel" logo in the top left corner. The included key code was marked US and it validated with no issue. The required software from the Powersaves website has a minimal hard drive footprint and was easy to download and install. The software recognizes when I insert and remove my game cartridges instantly and the connection to the Powersaves server has been very quick and easy. Using this Yellow Version has saved me so much time. I can search through a list of cheats for my selected game and apply them instantly enabling me to get back to playing the game and having fun. Games should be fun, and when I have to grind through 100's of hours trying to collect materials that drop at random percentage rates in order to craft the pieces to make the parts necessary to create the items I actually need to kill the cat that ate the rat that lived in the house that I built, the game stops being fun and instead turns into payless, thankless work. With this (Yellow Packaging) Action Replay Powersaves for 3DS I can instantly skip all those 100's of hours spent not having fun and instead get right down to actually playing my games. A week after ordering the Black Version Powersaves Pro it still does not work, but only 3 days after ordering this Yellow Action Replay Powersaves for 3DS I have not gotten a lot of sleep because it is that much fun! This is the way products should be, fast, simple, easy to setup and install, and everything works right out of the box!

It really works!
I just want to share my solutions on how I "fixed" I guess my powersaves 3ds. When it arrived I thought I got a defective one since it kept giving me usb error saying it didn't connect. Found out, the usb cable itself was the problem (instead I used my psp usb cable and that solved the problem). Then, it kept saying I need to put my game cartridge when I did! I really thought I wasted my money on this cheap thing. Apparently some people lick their game cartridge or use alcohol (using Q-Tip) on those gold lines?? to make it work. Well, I thought that was going to ruin my game so I didn't do that at all. So I was about to give up and I just tried my other 3ds games to see if that worked. After that, I tried my pokemon y again and yeahhh it works. I don't know if this actually made my game work but because of that it is working perfectly fine. Those who are saying it's not working, just try my method and see if it works :) I am so happy with my purchase and love using it!!! :)

Does what it says
I purchased this item on Sunday, received it by Wednesday, so the shipping speed was perfectly fine. The packaging was simple to open, and inside there's a mini USB cable, the device itself (which connects to your computer via the supplied cable) and a sheet with a Web address on one side and a license key on the other, the software by which this device operates is not on a disc in the package. Downloading and setting up the software didn't even take longer than a couple minutes, and that was including looking for my Pokemon Y card, which I promptly inserted into the device and it was recognized by the software within seconds. The software will allow you to backup a save game to your hard drive, overwrite your save with either one of your backups or a hacked "Powersave", or you can run some save memory edits on specific addresses under the "Codes" tab. For Pokemon Y, I was able to modify the number of items in my backpack as well as BP, so no more grinding for Ability Capsules. Other games of mine that I found worked were Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, Mario Kart 7, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overlooked, Project X Zone, Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, and a couple of others. As of this writing, there's neither saves nor "codes" for Shin Megami Tensei IV or Bravely Default. The codes and saves seem to be stored on a CodeJunkies server, rather than downloaded to your drive. This means you won't have to worry about updating cheat files, but it also means this device would be obsoleted if CodeJunkies no longer hosts the files, so if this review is seen a couple years after its posting date, you've been warned. Overall, I like it. This just made cloning Pokemon tons easier with Pokebank, and while there seem to be very few supported games as of this moment the fact that they're able to modify addresses in Pokemon is kind of impressive since the encryption on games such as it and Animal Crossing have been giving hackers fits. So long as you don't expect more than what this is supposed to do, you should be satisfied with this device.

Works for what it's intended, not a large catalog of games yet
I received my Action Replay Powersaves Cheat Device today. Upon going to their website, they have a list of games that the device is currently compatible with and the list seems to be growing overtime with various new codes for every game. However, the library of games it's supported by isn't very large at the moment, and we'll have to see if they continue to provide support for the device as they claim to going forward. However, the device is working for the purpose that it was made for, which is simply to provide an outlet for cheating for some of your favorite games, or unlocking things that would normally take a tremendous amount of time ingame to do so. The game that I tested my device with first was Animal Crossing: New Leaf where you are able to get maximum bells on your character through the bank, along with a certain amount of items they've developed cheat codes for so far. From what I saw, they do not have a large amount of items available yet for this game in particular, which leaves me hoping they'll be able to add in entire sets of furniture like older versions of Action Replay did for these games. One of the nice features that is incredibly underrated about this purchase however is the fact you can backup your save files. If you were to do something you didn't like or if someone were to erase your game for any reason, you now have a backup of your game on your computer if you ever need it. So in short, here are my pros and cons. Pros: + Device Does what it's supposed to. An outlet for unlocking things that would normally take a longtime in various supported titles. + Backups are amazing to have, something that I haven't seen Nintendo offer yet. + Easy to use, all you have to do is enter a product code, plug into your computer, and snap in your game card. + Action Replay (in the past) has been the only supported "Cheating" brand for the Nintendo Market that has been trustworthy. Cons: - Not a Large Selection of Games supported yet. - Does not support Digital Games of ANY format. You MUST have a Game Card of the game you're wanting to cheat for. So, if you're like me and have a lot of digital titles, do not expect to "cheat" on those games. - Process of backing up your game on your computer and activating the cheat codes are very time consuming on first use.

Amazing
Ordered one and the device wouldn’t download the codes. Processed a return for the same item. Came the next day and works wonderfully! 10/10 thank you!

Things you MUST know before purchasing and more!!!
The powersaves and powersaves pro are region locked and require a license key. Your license key will be located on the back of the user guide it comes with. However, a US region device will NOT work with UK cartridges and vice versa. You must have matching regions. -To check what region your game cartridge is, flip it over and you will see a code of some kind. The fourth letter indicates what region it belongs to. If the fourth letter is an "E" it is an American cartridge, if the fourth letter is a "P" it is European. -If you live in the UK or have European games, buy the "Powersaves" version. If you live in the US or have American games, buy the "Powersaves Pro" version. The only difference between the two is the region it works for. So users of American games do not try to save a few bucks and go for the "Powersaves" version, it will get you no where. (Trust me, I thought I'd do the same) Datel's customer support is not very reliable so save yourself the headache. -When using your product you get a "looping" error that says "insert game cartridge" or it claims there is "no content available" when it is a supported game, the region of the cartridge and the powersaves device do not match up. In order to fix this you will need a new license key. I think you can contact Datel customer support and request a new license key, but I'm not entirely sure as I am in the process of getting a new key myself. -On a side note, the rating on this review is not about the device's performance. It is simply a reflection of my frustration I have experienced with the region locks. I was able to use my device when I first got it; it worked very well. I was pleased with the product, but suddenly it just stopped reading my cartridge. Anyway, I hope this review helps a few people who have come across the same issue as I have, but also prevents more people from having to deal with this headache. I wish Datel would make the difference between the two of them more obvious than just the word "Pro."

Great device!
You should know, that from what I understand, that the way this thing works is that when you apply a cheat to the cartridge from the computer, it uploads a save file to Datel's server, decrypts it there, and retrieves the save file again. Also, there's no CD included with the device, unlike Action Replay (the software is downloadable online at Datel's website. My point being, you need an internet connection to use this device because it's completely reliant on Datel's servers. It's been working fantastically so far, and now that they added codes for X and Y I'm not sure what else we really need! Oh, and also, inside of the box is an instruction manual printed on a sheet of paper. DO NOT THROW THIS OUT. Whenever you go to download the software from the link I gave you above, it will ask for a license key available in the bottom corner of the second page of the instructions on a sticker that says, "3DS Powersaves License Key". You cannot use the software without this license! I assume this is because they don't want server resources to go to people just playing around with the software rather than people who actually possess the device. With all that in mind, get this device with high expectations! You won't be able to walk through walls, etc. because it's a save editor and doesn't edit real-time, but all those other cheats were kind of gimmicky anyway and this is plenty enough for me.

Great product, recommend purchase
The product works great, it arrived on time and some hours earlier than expected. For those that say that it doesn't work bear in mind that this is region locked, make sure you're buying the right product, this one is for the EU, the pro version is for the US. I recommend this purchase although people should be aware that for now it still has a rather small list of games compatible with it, but the good thing is that is constantly updated with new material. Also for those people having errors make sure you put your serial code without any dashes ( - ), I had that problem and I figured it out. I also recommend not using the cable provided with it as it is a very generic cable and it can be very defective, I doubt it will damage the device but it is very annoying, I suggest using a PS3 controller cable or buying a new one at a local store.

It works perfectly.
Yeah, it works perfect. Tried it on my Pokemon Y(NTSC) to get an official event pokemon which I previously could not due to geographical reasons. The product arrived on time too, so it is all cool. Good job.
