No, it will not work with 220V. It's for for use with 110V power.

I do not think that using this device will prevent the dimming of lights when turning on something with a substantial draw as the capacity of the circuit in use is not increased. Cheers, Dan

Yes, That is exactly why I purchased 3 of them ( 2 for back up), they keep a constant voltage and are excellent for all of your electronics,(HI-DEF TV, Computers, Surround Sound Systems, Dvd Players,etc...). It is an excellent investment for all your electronics, just don't plug your vacuum into it as they suck more than 600 watts. I have all my living room electronics and bedroom electronics all hooked up through 1 line conditioner(50 inch Plasma, 2 DVD players, Desktop computer and 2 surround sound computer speaker systems with 100 watt sub-woofers ,printer, 32 inch LCD TV, Modem,Router, external hard drive).It should even save you a little bit of money on your power bill, it did me.
