Outstanding
The translation is good (very clear and it makes sense in English) and this edition includes a tiny bit of biographical information about Chekhov, plus (very helpful!) a guide to pronouncing Russian names.Enjoy!

A good translation of the plays
A good translation of the plays. The book is approximately 5 1/4 by 8 1/4 . The size is comfortable to hold in your lap and theprint size is easy to read. The book has "The Seagull", "Uncle Vanya", "Three Sisters", and "The Cherry Orchard". There is a short biographyof Anton Chekhov at the beginning of the book.

As Expected, Good for Stanislavski Methodology
We utilized this book in my Stanislavski course to learn the methodology, and it was very helpful for this course. I appreciated that we could digest the plays together, as I may not have picked up the material on my own.

A masteepee of literature and translation.
Purchased for my cast as a gift, following our production of "Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike". Everyone was thrilled. And I saved a copy for myself. What a fine, natural, act able translation!
