Q: Can i use these for running

I wouldn't use them as running spikes - best for walking on hard ice. The rubber stretches, so excessive traction will cause movement. I find they are splendid for stopping me skidding and falling over on packed ice - good surface grip. They are not intended for athletic/running use - I don't think they would stay in place used like that - not what they are designed for. Hope that helps.

It is worth a try, is all I can say in answer to this question . These accessories are really for use in ice and snowy conditions , the town equivalent of crampons on a hillside , if you like. Or perhaps like wearing football boots on pavements .They need something to grip . They are indeed very useful and successful as such, and give some reassurance to the user. Ours even came with replacement spikes, as they do wear down with use . So , if your new Ice Cleats do not work on water or steps , be assured that in bad winter weather , they will . As my Granny used to say, they will not 'Go Wrong ' if you buy them !

Hi Katie, The pictures on the left of the product screen include a sizing chart - hover your mouse over them and click to hold them. The chart clearly says UK women's 5-8 wants the medium size. I think you will find that should be right for shoes and also for boots. Pull the over-sole over the toe of your shoe/boot and then pull the rear part up over the heel of your shoe/boot using the tab. We are happily transferring ours between shoes and boots - still working very well for us. I recommend you go for the MEDIUM ones.
