Amazing. The instructions and troubleshooting works amazing. The lubricant did get on my hand, but I was poking around anyway. Be mindful of that before giving to younger children. The metal button bits are flimsy, and can get misshaped, but as long as you’re not extremely rough, it’s fine. 4% of the buttons fell off the plastic backs after correctly making them, and static can lift the protective film and shifting it out of place. But when the buttons are made correctly, they are sturdy and long lasting

Easy to use, very sturdy, perfect for crafts! Made 150 buttons yesterday. Operation was easy and fun! Includes a clear circle cutter which was a perk, along with enough supplies to do a pretty big project. One thing to note, if you are using a graphic or image that you want to stay centered vertically, turn your picture about 1/4” to the right ( clockwise) before pressing- this will let it line up perfectly with the back of the button once pressed together. A cutting mat is recommended for ease of cutting out your pictures. Kit comes with enough fronts, backs, Mylar overlays to make quite a load of buttons. Even comes with individual bags to put the buttons in for gifting

I volunteered to make some buttons for our Parent Teacher Club so I scoured the web for a reasonably priced button maker that would also function well enough. This is one of the lower priced units, plus it came with supplies to make 100 buttons. After reading the 1-star reviews, I was fully prepared to have troubles operating it, but the first one I attempted came out perfectly. Everything set, and the end result was great. I went on to make 10 total, and out of that, 2 failed. I’m certain it was user-error, but I’m not 100% sure what I did wrong. I did notice the metal backing sometimes stick together, and dropping them on the table allowed them to separate. It very well could be that the first one I made had two metal backings but I didn’t know it. It could also be that I simply didn’t press hard enough. Either way, a loss of 2 out of 10 was acceptable to me, given this is the first time I’ve ever used a button making machine. I would say it takes some practice to get the right feel. I’m currently trying to figure out how to align the pin correctly as it seems no matter how hard I try, it ends up crooked. Good thing I have supplies for 90 more buttons to perfect my process.

Wonderful product I’m not going to lie after reading the reviews I was a little nervous about buying this item but it was the only one that was in my budget. NOW I will say the only reason for the 4 star is because the circle cutter that came with this machine was already cracked and it broke, but that doesn’t really bother me because I just cut out my paper anyways so it’s okay. I did have some troubles trying to assemble but it was easy plus I had some help from my dad and it’s actually so simple to use I think most of these bad reviews are simply just user error 😭😭 Genuinely this was the easiest thing to use after putting it together. I’ve made so many pins with this thing already and I LOVE IT so obsessed with this. I’ve had it for a couple of days now and it’s been so amazing! I want to try and get different size molds for this in the future, so we shall see how that turns out but all in all this was an amazing product and so worth it great price as well and easy to use when you get used to it!!!!

Update Aug 2025: After my initial review the company contacted me and thanked me for my feedback and said they're using it to redesign their product to be more user friendly. They offered a refund. It is rare for an Amazon seller to offer good customer service and I appreciate this. For this reason I am changing my review from a 1 star to a 5 star. I admit my initial review was a bit harsh and was a product of our frustrations. I am hopeful their new design will solve these issues. My daughter does like making her own buttons. Initial review: Bought this as a Xmas gift for my daughter. What a waste of money! The machine is very complicated to work and you have to be extremely precise in the set up and operation. On top of that, the buttons are barely 1/2" across. The plastic covers also scratch easily and cloud the image. God forbid you jam the machine. Takes an engineering degree to get it unlocked. Would not recommend. You're better off ordering custom buttons online.

Ordered that thing to make custom stuff and didn't regret at all!! Instructions are clear, supplies like metal, paper, button back, suitable size paper cutter and plastic films are present, even couple of instruments were included. I'm more than happy ^°^ P.S. In photos there's packed machine and pins I've done the same day to show the result..

I really should have sucked it up and paid for a machine that made multiple size buttons. I thought I could just order an insert piece and have options, but this this machine is not adaptable (my fault for not researching more). The button maker itself is actually easy to use and makes really great buttons. The button pieces, though, are less than par - the plastic backs just don't hold the metal badge top very well. My daughter has made at least half of the quantity of buttons, and all of them have popped apart; they just don't hold up well. Mostly, they are attached to her backpack, and she is not the gentlest slinging it around, but 100% of the buttons made have broken. This tells me the quality or compatibility of the materials is terrible. I plan to purchase all metal backs and try them to see if they hold better - my guess is that they will. If they don't, then the machine just doesn't give enough pressure to secure the top to the bottom sufficiently.

This solved a problem for me. I was looking for giveaways at my musical performances - keychains, lapel pins, etc. But then I'd be locked into one design if I wanted to buy in bulk to save money. My sister suggested this, what a great idea. Easy to use, and they include EVERYTHING you need in the kit: the machine, the metal buttons, the plastic safety pin backs, the clear plastic covers. AND they even included a cool little circle cutter with an extra blade - so all you have to do is print out your images in the right size and away you go! Thanks for solving my problem, saving me money, and unlocking my creativity. I'd give this 6 STARS if I could!

This item has been with me for 5 days now, and it's working great! So far, I'm really happy with it. Highly recommended! 😊 If you don't know how to use the machine properly, you might think its quality is poor, when in reality it just takes the right technique to get the best results.
