Solid, full featured Scout wannabe that is excellent value!
Solid light that comes with a bunch of accessories to help you mount the light and pressure switch. Here's a summary of my experience with it. Took the Picatinny mount off and put it in my gun parts drawer. I decided to use an Arisaka keymod inline mount. Since the ProTac 2L is a bit longer than a scout, requires a ball T15 torx driver to install. Light is very easy to operate. If you don't dig your thumb into the light, the switch is recessed enough to allow momentary-only function without ever accidentally turning the light on all the way. It takes a deliberate press with the tip of your thumb, digging into the light, to turn it constant on. The pressure switch that comes with the light is nowhere near as good as a SureFire Scout switch, but keep in mind that the SureFire switch costs $75 and this light came with a $100-ish light. It works well, I haven't broken it, but I like the simplicity of the tail cap that I decided that the tape switch was unnecessary. I may put the tape switch back on and play with it more and find better ways to tuck away the cables. If I do so, I recommend putting the tailcap in the grip storage compartment of your rifle (if you have one) in case you need it again.

You pay for brightness, great value, light weight, high quality.
High quality and great value as a complete rifle light kit. It has everything in the package to rail mount or M-Lok which is what I did, even has zip ties for cord management. Nice white high Kelvin light, You pay for lumens and if you read reviews that it’s “not bright” or “could be brighter” you must understand that the higher the lumen count the brighter and more distance the light will reach. Decide the range you’re looking to light up and match the lumen intensity and you won’t be disappointed. If you’re trying to light up a room, hallway, or a small backyard this works well, hunting hogs from a helicopter this wouldn’t be bright enough. For my intended use this was the lumen level matched to my purpose and the value, weight, size, and quality, are outstanding! Really a great all in one kit from an industry leader.

Received in two days thanks to Prime Membership. The weapon light is very nice I have a pretty solid background involving weapons and accessories and also other stream light products. The weapon light feels very lightweight and very durable. It has a nice black smooth finish from the factory. The 625 lumens is very blinding as well it is a very crisp white light with a solid center beam for a lot of throw if you need it to see targets clearly out to I would say 60-70 yards I would say as an estimate without measuring... Also has a nice peripheral glow to illuminate areas around your focus. I have not extensively used this light yet but I don't foresee an issue. It can be programmed for a few modes like strobe and low/high intensity. It also comes with two tail caps a click on/off or just hold for momentary and a flat pressure switch with the same functions. The mount is also very nice and is part of the gram of the light it has a knurled knob kind of like a traditional AR 15 removable carry handle. It Feels very solid and have no worries when it comes to live fire. Anyway I would buy it if your in the market for a quality inexpensive weapon light you can always return it or send it to stream light it's pretty much worry free. Enjoy and remember target discretion.

Great light. Also concider Ariska scout mount its a slick setup
This is a great flashlight. I take 1 point away for not being able to disconnect the pressure switch to change batteries without removing the pressure switch from the rail. I used the included zip ties to secure to the top rail and switch doesnt move once tied down. I set it only illuminate on high. Works perfectly. I have a bcm keymod rail. I also purchased Ariska inline keymod scout mount. I removed the picitany mount which comes with it. This puts the light so close to the rifle it seems a part of it. Very slick and I recomend this set up. Brighter than surefire probably tough enough and half the price of the surefire. Cant ask for more. Never had an issue with streamlight products and highly dought I will have a problem with this. Just buy extra zip ties for when you need to change the batteries which shouldnt be often unless you do a lot of night training

Tough And Bright
1 yr later, original battery still good, no issues, light has had over a thousand rounds it has had to feel. Every once in awhile, check your battery cover. Vibrations and all..but Im talking like after 200 rounds or so..Not a flaw, just physics..

Best value you're gonna get
This light is way better than I expected for $100. The light is more than bright enough, with good spread for clearing rooms and enough focus to blind and disorient. Not nearly too bright that I'm going blind from the bounce, but it can definitely daze you if you hit a mirror. Have someone strobe you with it in the dark--not fun. Streamlight says it'll get 6 hours out of a pair of batteries but we'll see. If it's even an hour that's plenty for me to trust it to work when I need it. 10 more batteries was like $12 so it doesn't matter for me. The spread and brightness make for a pretty minimal shadow when I mount it next to the barrel, but I offset it above and the shadow totally disappears from view. The pressure switch is the real winner here. It takes a good amount of pressure so I can wrap my thumb over for recoil without getting a light AD, but it activates easily with confidence anywhere along its length. I see people using the included zip ties to mount the switch and I can't imagine why--the rubber pic clips are tight enough that they're hard to take off if you wanted to. The wire is a good length so it cleans up easy without a lot of extra that needs to be taped up like other switches. The mount is a little bulky but it just barely misses my front sight so I'm happy with it. Everything could be smaller and lighter, but not at this price and not enough that it's worth paying more. 100% good value. I'll put another on my 10.5" right away.

Bought this to attach to a rifle for home defense as well as use as a hand light. The light itself is fantastic, its distance and cone are both great and reach and incredibly far distance for the size. The rail mount is sturdy and easy to tighten/loosen and remove. The kit also comes with extra button cap, which swaps with the regular toggle switch, for attaching to a rifle that is both a pressure switch and a toggle for the light. The flashlight also has a strobe mode if you're into that. All the mounting materials for the extra switch and the light are in the box, including zip ties among other things. All in all, I'm pretty sure its the best flashlight you'll get for the ~200 CAD.

I would have loved to get a surefire or another super pricey American made weapons light but holy crap. When every accessory is 200$ or more for the good ones your 1500$ gun quickly turns into 3000$ and you gotta draw the line somewhere😀 probably the only part Chinese made on my gun except for 45 offset mounts

The streamlight products are well-made and you don't pay a fortune for the brand name. The rechargeable poly stinger I purchased in 1997 I used on duty until my retirement in 2019 and it has never quit. This streamlight looks and feels as robust and is certainly brighter.
