Well designed for writing in the dark
I'm a song-writer, and I get most of my inspirations at night. If I don't write my ideas down straight away, they're forgotten by morning. And if I turn on a light to write them down, it wakes my wife. So for years I've bought pens that light up at the tip. But with the first few makes that I tried, the battery and ink were not replaceable, and when either ran out the pen became useless for its intended purpose. So I was very glad to find this Glowseen make where the battery pack and ink cartridge are both replaceable. You get two pens in a pack – one with red light, one with white light. It's well made and well designed, with just the right level of light to light up the paper near the point of the pen. The red one especially does not wake my wife (although the click occasionally does). They write easily and smoothly too.So I was very happy for the first 6 months – until I changed the batteries. When reassembled, neither pen would light up. I dismantled and reassembled them, and the red one started working again. The white one did not, so I emailed the Support address given on the instruction leaflet. I got a reply within a few hours, promising to send me a replacement. It arrived a few days later - and with extra pens as an apology!Of the replacements, one white one did not light up, until I dismantled it, and reassembled it. Then it worked fine. There must be some subtle aspect of the assembly such that, occasionally, electrical contact is not made. The instruction sheet seems clear, although it's in tiny print and the English is not perfect. Perhaps the company could print the instructions in larger print, and/or put a video on the Web showing how to reassemble the pen after changing the battery pack.My reply from Support was signed by “Julia”. I'm in the UK. I notice all the other reviews of this product are from the US, and one of those says he too got a reply from “Julia”. So I get the impression of a small company that really cares about customer relations. And it is a well-made product, perfectly designed for its purpose.

Pens look very nice
Pen light didn’t last one night shift . Do have replacement batteries to try and see if this will fix the problem.

Very bright
These are great pens, but they are very bright. I got them so I could not down ideas I had at night without having to turn on my lights and disrupt my sleep, but they are quite bright. I suppose that is a good thing since they will help you write in the dark.So far I'm pretty happy with them, though I don't use them very much since I don't actually need to write in the dark very often. They have a nice weight and a smooth metal exterior which makes it feel like a good quality pen. I think it's a good value, they are attractive pens, and they are very simple and easy to use when you need to write in the dark!

Great solution when you need to write something in a dark environment
I've been working on a dream log, and one of the challenges I've faced is what to do when I wake up and want to record a dream. If I turn on a lamp, I'll wake up my partner and also myself. And I really don't want to get out of bed and go to another room to put something down in my journal. I've recommended this to some of my fellow dream journalers who loved the idea of a lighted pen. This pen is the solution to that dilemma. With a simple click, a light near the ball-point tip is emitted, and once the pen is close to paper, it illuminates the page well enough to write without a lot of light being added away from the page. If I had one wish, it would be a tiny one - that the "click" was not quite as loud. The pen also works without the light, so if you are in and out of a dark environment you don't need to carry two different pens or use up the battery for the light when it's not needed.

One doesn't work
I ordered a two-pen combo, one with a red light and one with a white light. The red one works fine. The white one doesn't work at all. At some point, I will try to put a new battery in the white one to see if that helps. I'm keeping the set, though it feels like I just paid $15 for one pen, not two.
