For those that say these tie downs do not fit the plates correctly read this and look at the pictures before you return these or get as frustrated as I was. I consider myself a very handy person, I don’t hire anyone to do my mechanic and home remodeling. I tried putting the first tie down on and the fit was horrible! With a bit of muscle the tie down would pop right out. What the heck I thought, so I went on here to read the reviews and sure enough others had issues. Some people went as far as to file or cut off some of the plastic tabs. I was even thinking that I bought the wrong plates. Well what seems like the correct way to install is not, flip the tie down upside down 180 degrees And slide it in with a little force. Immediately it will fit snug as can be and locks easily. Put the plate and tie down together then use an impact Driver to screw the plates on. Put a little oil on the threads to make the screws go in easier.

very snug, the way I wanted. Put in the plate first, using rubber mallet. no trimming necessary. Also, I would not even waste time trying to put these in the plates after installation of the plates. Install first, throw the keys away, and they work great. I for one like the snug fit. Last thing I want is something that rattles around in the back of my truck and drives me nuts. These things have been working great for me for a couple months now, with lots of pressure on them.

Nice anchors, they fit the ronin plates perfectly. It irks my that a lot of reviews mentioned screws, stripping etc. those reviews are for the anchoring plates and have nothing to do with this product. They should not even be accepted reviews for this product. This product is the locking anchor that installs onto plates which are not included in this purchase. These anchors are fine and do the job intended. If you need a plate check out the ronin plates sold on amazon these anchors fit those plates perfectly. Dont cheap out and get cheap plates because what your gonna get is cheap plates. Spend a little more get good plates and these anchors will keep you happy.

I ordered a set of four. One broke apart when I was trying to install it. The back part of this bracket is super cheap plastic that separates when trying to force it into the Boxlink bracket. One of the brackets wouldn't even fit into the Boxlink bracket. The keys are very difficult to remove the locks. Overall these are just poorly made and in my opinion all but worthless. I wouldn't trust to hold any significant cargo. I am returning these for a refund.Update: I was able to return the product for a full refund. The merchant reached out to me and offered to send me a free set. I turned the offer down because I had already gone to the local Ford dealership and bought a set for $85.00. The Ford Factory cleats are of much better quality all around! For some reason, I did have to remove the Boxlink brackets and lightly tap the cleats into place. I am not sure why the cleats don't just slide in like they are designed. Perhaps there is something that changed on the 2019 F-150s or my truck's Boxlink brackets have some kind of defect. Maybe if these cleats had slid into place without a struggle I would have kept them. So perhaps my rating is unfair and you will have better luck. However, even if these had worked properly, after experiencing the quality of the Ford product and these I would have chosen to spend $35.00 extra dollars to get the better quality cleats.
