Great feathers, you get a lot for the price. They're all different sizes, but with the amount you get, they're easy to pair up. I used them for a moth headband, they were thick enough to stand up to the wind. The only thing was that they smell absolutely awful, so they had to be aired out for a few days.

Tried longer ostrich feathers for my derby hat but they were just too big. These feathers are 8-10 inches and perfect for my hat. Plus extras for additional crafts. Clean, a little off-white (more natural) but nice shapes (some straight and others with little curls at the tips; perfect). Recommend.

I got black ostrich feathers from 5 different Amazon suppliers and these are the best for this size (10-12 inches). The product is pretty consistent, not too many duds. The feathers are full, not sparse, and arrived undamaged/bent.Also, importantly, they do NOT stink of mothballs and dead people like all the other suppliers' feathers. Huge plus. Highly recommend.

I purchased these feathers to add a significant plume to a chapeau bras worn with a uniform for reenactment of the War of 1812.I bound four of the feathers together, added a wire loop and placed a deep pocket inside one side of the chapeau bras to receive the plume. This allows me to remove the plume when traveling.I am very pleased with my purchase as well as with the finished project.
