Info not available anywhere else.
You'd think it would be easy to find all sorts of information out about NSU off of the internet seeing how it was once the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world...not so. This book is filled with tons of detail about NSU's motorcycle business as well as the automobile side of the house (with lots about their development of the rotary engine).Definitely a good book to buy if your an NSU fan. Seems like the book could have used extra editing or proofreading though as author repeats himself several times in the motorcycle history bits.

The whole story
A comprehensive review of a stalwart of industry until the early 1970's. Thank goodness someone captured this info before it was lost to history. A remarakble company with great engineering prowess. They were comparable to VW for a time and are now all bur forgotten.

Biased Towards NSU's Motor Cycle History
From a personal point of view, this book is a bit of a disappointment. Of the 238 pages, nearly 200 are related to the NSU motor-cycle story, leaving only forty pages to be shared between the Wankel engine, the Prinz range and the incredible Ro 80. (My father had a Ro80 and I owned a Prinz 4L.) Therefore, if you are a motor-cycle fan, there is perhaps more to interest you than, like me, your interest lies in NSU's four-wheel output.I still vividly remember being driven on the newly completed M6 in the Lune Gorge (Where the North/South carriageways are split) on a DESERTED Sunday afternoon in September '73. My father was holding the wheel steady through the gentle curve of the southbound motorway. The speedometer of our Ro80 was also steady at 115mph and the car was almost silent. Our abiding impression was that of the centrifugal force as the Michelin XAs tyres just gripped and gripped.
