A truly amazing item
Like all great inventions, this peel with transfer belt is so simple yet really amazing. It's easy to use and does exactly what it is supposed to. In my case, it allows me to transfer a sticky, uncooked, fully loaded pizza from the counter onto a hot pizza stone in the oven- no corn meal, no sticking. Effortless, perfect transfer.I do have one issue: After using it weekly for 6 months, one edge of the pastry cloth had become pretty stained with pizza sauce. I washed it in cold water with a little bleach. As expected, the cloth shrunk a little - not a significant problem.But after 3 or 4 more uses, the pizza dough began to stick to the pastry cloth and no amount of flour on the cloth would stop this. The pizzas were disasters. I don't know why the "properties" of the cloth changed.I am buying replacement pastry cloth belts. If anyone could tell me why the pastry cloth stopped working after washing, and how to prevent this, I would be grateful.This is a still a great invention.

nice - should be a nice addition!
was nicely packaged, and looked great, didn't realize there was some assembly. Not that hard after I did it but the description and pictures could have been done better. I also didn't like the fact that it still says to use cornmeal or more flour since I use this on pizza peels and was hoping to avoid it with this product. I will give it a go here soon but have been picking up things like it says to practice and it does a nice job. the solid cherry board does look really nice and has a good feel to it.

A must have for home made pizza lovers and excellent customer service to boot!
I own a metal paddle but had real challenges with the dough sticking to it despite the use of corn meal, especially in warm weather. After a few close calls with pizzas almost on the back of my oven or on the floor and toppings all over the oven, I purchased a cherry super peel. It works perfectly - no more corn meal mess on the floor and misplace pizzas in the oven. It took me a couple of attempts to get the system down, but now I can do it quickly. The gorgeous cherry wood paddle looks great hanging on my kitchen wall when not in use. I still use my old metal paddle to take pizzas out of the oven and as a place to cut them as the metal is easier to clean but I could easily use the super peel instead. Unfortunately, the peel developed a crack in the handle on my third use so that it became unstable (see photo). I contacted the company by email and they responded within 24 hours with an offer to replace the peel if I could provide a proof of purchase (amazon order number). I received a brand new peel within a week! A wonderful product and excellent customer service - I highly recommend this product because it works, is great quality, and is made by a company that stands behind its products! Nice peel, the cloth is a bit of a gimmic
Maybe it's just me and I am not coordinated enough but the cloth failed miserably when I tried to use it and I ended up with cheese all over the oven. The peel itself works great as a peel, and I like the smaller handle, easier to store than my old one that was made for some big huge oven.If I had to do it again I'd get a cheaper one without the cloth gimmick, but I'm keeping it and happy with it just as a peel.

Pizza with super A PEEL
I just recently began making my own homemade pizzas after finding a website "serious eats" and becoming obsessed with it. The site has amazing recipes and pictures and is really informative and fun. Sort of like Alton Brown... I had already ordered an item, the Baking Steel for baking my pizzas super fast, but the process of transferring my pizza from the granite countertop to that super hot baking steel had become scary and messy. I knew I needed a pizza peel, but also knew that sometimes even they were tricky. Searching for the best peel, I ran across the Super Peel. Looked like it would do the job, so I ordered it. Am I ever glad that I did! I watched youtube videos to get a feel of how to use it properly, and it really is as easy as it looks. Once I got my brain wrapped around the fact that I am not supposed to use my hand to move the peel under the pizza, but rather use my hand to move the cloth "conveyor" and let the conveyor pick it up, I felt like doing the "happy pizza dance"! I remove the cloth to retrieve my pizza after it bakes. Not sure if you have to, but once it's baked, the pick-up is easy with the peel alone. Try it and do your own Happy Pizza Dance!

Wow... thing thing is great!
My family loves good thin crust pizza, but we have never been successful making it at home. If you put the dough in a cold pan to bake, it does not get crisp enough. We have never been able to master the technique that the pros use to slide a pie onto the hot stone, with flour or corn meal on the peel to prevent sticking. We always ended up with a mess in the oven.With this Super Peel, everyone in the family is able to get their pizza placed precisely on the pizza stone - no mess. We now have perfectly fresh and crispy pizza every time. IT IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY. Don't forget to dust the cloth with flour.I would also recommend two other products that have made our pizza nights successful: Lodge Pro Logic Cast Iron 14" Pizza Pan, Black This preheats faster than a pizza stone, cleans easier, and seems more durable. Can use on grill or in the oven ( I have done both) Artisan Pizza and Flatbread in Five Minutes a Day Super easy to make and THE BEST dough recipe ever (use the one that is half cake flour and half all-purpose if you want the light, tender crust like in a pizzeria) Lots of good tips (like "avoid too much topping on the pizza" which we used to do) and creative recipes.
