Clean large bone
This is a high quality, clean, U.S. bone for dogs. My dog is crazy about it…especially when we fill the ends with peanut butter. One caution though, I would always supervise when dog is enjoying. Our trainer warned us that he had a dog haven $1;400. Vet bill to remove a broken tooth due to chewing on a similar bone.

Amstaff jaws are too strong!
Well my little Amstaff loves this type of bone. At the same time, if you have a breed that has stronger than average jaws, it's a good idea to supervise. Even though my pup is a pretty small dog, within the first ten minutes of working on it he was able to begin chipping off sharp "shards" of bone. I've bought the same type of bones from my local feed store in the past, and I remember him having a harder time doing this... Maybe these bones are just a bit thinner? Or maybe my dogs jaws have gotten stronger? either way, we love these bones, but I do recommend supervision - the chips that come off these bones aren't huge or a choking hazard, but they are quite sharp...

Strong, stain-free, reliable bone for even the most powerful chewers.
After numerous stuffed toys met their unfortunate demise within a matter of minutes, I decided to go the bone route. With a 54lb bull terrier mix and a determined and surprisingly powerful dachshund, I've found that solid strong bones are harder to come by than I would've previously guessed. I can't even tell you how many bones we've been through that have ended up in the trash due to splintering, cracking, breaking, etc. I was a little hesitant to try these after a few negative reviews stating similar issues to the previously mentioned bones, but I'm glad we did. We've had this bone for almost two months now, and only one small piece chipped off which I caught and threw out. Despite getting flung all over the room and backyard this thing has held up impressively well to the jaws of not one but two dogs. Also love that it does not stain the carpet, which is especially important for pet owners who are renting their home. Can't beat the price, either. Would definitely repurchase if for some reason this one bit the dust or disappeared.

I love that it's hollow because I can smear peanut butter ...
While Golden Retrievers typically have soft mouths, my dog can chew through most "durable" bones in hours. I bought an expensive antler and he demolished it in 2 hours. He's been working hard on this bone for a month and has barely made a dent despite chewing on it daily. I love that it's hollow because I can smear peanut butter on the inside for a special treat and that keeps him occupied for a whole evening.UPDATE: After 5 months, he managed to break it straight down the middle into 2 equal sized halves. From there, he chipped away at it until it shattered into pieces too small to be safe to allow him to chew. No idea what caused it to split down the middle, but I wish it had lasted longer.

Baked nearly to chalk - Using for carving
Clean and very bright but it's baked so severely it's almost chalk-like. Predicting it will not be as strong and much more brittle. Will have to see how it carves. If you're holding a similar sized bone that was once stuffed but hollowed out, the weight/density difference is very noticeable. I would not buy it for a dog for fear of the shards. I'd buy a stuffed bone and remove the filler to keep the house cleaner.

Great product!
I purchased two of these for my 2 dogs-- a lab mix and a pit bull-- because they are heavy chewers and have splintered many bones in the past few weeks. These have a great hollow center to stuff mini treats or chunky peanut butter inside (then freeze) and they are very hard and have a large circumference so breaking off pieces is difficult. The only thing that surprised me was the big difference in size... one was considerably larger in size than the other. Not really a big enough problem to deduct a star because my dogs love these when filled with treats. If they aren't filled with anything, though, they aren't really interested which is fine with me since their obsessiveness sometimes leads to stomach upset. I think these will last a very long time. Shipping was quick and both items came shrink-wrapped (see pic). Would definitely recommend highly!

PERFECT for aggressive chewers!!
I have a 100lb Lab/Dane mix and he is an extremely aggressive chewer! So much so that I can't buy him toys or other types of bones because they are gone in a matter of minutes if not sooner! A friend suggested that I try femur bones because they are so much stronger and hold up against aggressive chewers. I LOVE these bones!! I have one that has lasted for like months! I will always buy these for him and I even sent one to a friend who just got a puppy and is already destroying toys left and right. She is in love too!! Do not confuse these with imitation bones like shin bones which shatter right after getting, these LAST! I have nothing negative to say about these bones! I will be back to get more when these FINALLY wear down!

Exactly what I was looking for
I fill these bones up with some natural peanut butter, mixed with some of my dog's food and it can keep her busy for good amount of time. I like to take my dog to various restaurants that allow pets and this bone can keep her occupied while I eat. I have a 40-50 lb pit bull who is a very heavy chewer and the bone has held up great. I found that was a little too long and I needed to cut it in half, but it worked out perfectly andI feel like I got two for the price of one.

Not worth it!
My white German Shepherd (7months) played 5 minutes with it and never came by it once every again.
