Can i use this to heat up a titanium cap to vaporize legally obtained Cannabis?

None of the previous answers are *totally* correct, as the coil resistance varies betwe en products and vaporizer models. For example, differences in the diameter of the heating coil wire will affect how hot it gets. The only way to determine if you could reach your desired temperate is to measure the resistance with a multimeter and calculate the thermal energy released by the average current and voltage of the driver circuit under load. You can approximate the power dissipated by the heating coil by treating it as a pure resistor and calculating the power dissipated through the coil. Using the heat capacity of the metal that makes up the coil and factoring in radiative cooling, you can determine the temperature given the characteristics of this driver. In other words, please don't listen to people who say can answer a question like this without any extra info. It's way more complex than you might think. Will this melt small amounts of gold?

I havent tryed gold. But if its small enough it should, rember if the driver runs 5 min it will burnout so the gold must be smoll.

Could this be powered by batteries? And if so, what size?

Yes it can. 18650 batteries seem to be popular

where does the coil connect?

Connect one side of coil to one end of the 3-port screw terminal. Repeat with the other side of coil. Center post of the 3-port screw terminal is not used.
