These hooks are ok if you want some sizes that you rarely use. I wouldn't recommend them for big projects or continued use. The straight plastic handles can be slippery making you drop stitches. They can also create pain in the wrists or hands. I do love the added bonuses though! I've always used plastic needles but this set came with metal ones that I'm eager to try. I'm also pleased with the generous amount of stitch markers because I'm always losing mine. So in all I would just order this for an inexpensive "filler" set.

I bought these because the previous set that I own doesn't go up as high as I needed. They're fairly comfortable for being completely made of plastic. I would buy them again if I needed to especially for the price that I paid for them.

They are good for thick yarn but not my favorites!

I have already started my copy of a Gucci chunky sweater using size 10 hook.The hook moves smooth through the yarn.

I mostly use the accessories, not a fan of the hooks.

If you crochet tight, be careful when using the plastic hooks. I've already broken one on the first project I made using them. Also, where the color changes on the plastic hooks, there is a tiny ridge that you have to contend with when pulling your yarn on or off the hook. It can be annoying. Would I buy them again knowing what I know...no I would not. The metal hooks and the other clips, etc. are perfect though just right for my usage. Bag to hold all of these items is just plain felt and is stuffed full - can't hold much more than what is already in there.

I normally use the Susan Bates style aluminum hooks but got these because I needed the bigger sizes. For the price they're great. I did find the smaller 3 had a bump where the colored top connects but so far I've been able to manage without too much frustration, the larger ones in my set had no bump.
