Futaba S3010 High Torque (HT) Standard Size Ball Bearing (BB) Servo

My use case is fairly simply as I use the servo is used to open and close wooden blinds in my house. The servo is attached to the open/close rod inside the header of the blinds. The signal to open and close is sent via a micro-controller connected to WiFi and my SmartThings hub. I chose this servo because some of the windows in my house are quite wide and long. Those windows require much more torque than a small window to open and close the blinds. For these windows, this servo easily handles the task. I hold the servo in place in the header using moldable plastic to keep the servo snugly in place. I'm drawing power from the micro-controller which, in turn, is connected to a power outlet near each window. I've had some of these servos in operation now for over one year and have not experienced any problems or failures. They are very reliable although they are not necessarily quiet. I can be in a room in the back of the house and hear the servo open/close a window in the front of the house. Because the system only operates 2X day (open at sunrise, close at sunset), this is not an issue for me.

In this land of fake knockoffs it was refreshing to get what I ordered - a servo made by Futaba. This thing is a beast and works well for a high torque application.

This was used to power a butterfly valve in an airplane airflow channel. It is strong enough to overcome wind resistance and power the valve during flight to either open or close it.

A nice upgrade from the standard S3003 servo. Most noticeable is the pin-point accuracy vs the S3003. S3003 is fairly quick for a standard servo, but lacks torque so on a 4WD RC truck, the steering is not as accurate as the S3010. Meaning, the servo struggles to maintain your steering angle as you speed down the course. Lock to lock speed is fairly quick but I wanted something even faster so opted for the S9405 for my truck.I am going to use this S3010 on my 2WD trucks and buggies, also my parking lot sedan.

This servo was installed as the rudder servo on a Soling 1-meter sailboat. It was stronger and noticeably made a difference, compared to the S3004 model that it replaced.

Futaba is Futaba; what else you can say.

Great go to budget servo for road cars. Not tough enough for off road but it is my choice for road cars.

Using as a steering servo for a 1/10 scale car. Accurate at 110MPH. Futaba is still the best.

Futaba has excellent quality.

I used only Futaba servo, it works well with Tamiya kits and ESC system.
