Aksys Code: Realize Wintertide Miracles - PlayStation Vita

I got this in 2019 but only recently had the time to play it in 2022. I'll try to keep this spoiler free for the most part.It follows the protagonist through the previous game's encounters but also adds a bit of a twist to the stories in the game itself. New scenarios that introduce the characters all over again, somewhat bittersweet but still wholesome and cute. It is quite short and not enough content to really be worth the price as it is IMO but it stuck to the lore and formula of the code realize story so I enjoyed it a lot. Definitely a should-get if you have played the first game. (2nd game is a little requirement, in that some characters might seem unfamiliar if you only played the original game.

Though it not entirely necessary to enjoy the game, I would really recommend playing Guardian of Rebirth and Future Blessings before this one. Rather than being a continuation of the original story the routes you are able to go through in this game come across as having more of a “side story” vibe in my opinion. The game gives an quick overview of what has happened up to that point and is pretty good at getting you caught up but I found it difficult to really feel the relationships between the characters since I haven’t played the first two games. The stories are a little shorter than I expected but overall the game has been really good. It has a lot of really nice features such as the glossary that keeps you up on terms you might not understand if you haven’t played the other games. And you also have the ability to view past text in case you have a habit of accidentally clicking too fast through conversations like I do.

This game was a great collection of short stories, most of which taking place after Future Blessings. As such, I’d definitely recommend playing both Code: Realize games before this one for full enjoyment. Who wouldn’t want to hang out with Cardia and the gang for another round of shenanigans? It was a bit of a short game and there were a few typos here and there, but overall it was an incredibly enjoyable experience that I’d recommend to anyone.

I loved the new side story and Finis' story but the rest of the content disappointed me.
