Best customer service Ive dealt with!
Not long after I purchased this the automatic on/off quit working. I was a tad disappointed as this is one of the more expensive pumps. I contacted EDOU, no arguments at all. A new unit was sent. And even had follow up emails later to make sure I was happy and it was working good. BUT they then sent anotherpump that they had revamped to be stronger and longer lasting. Just asking, when its pool season again, let us know how this one does. Seriously, very very few company do that. Ill make sure to look at all there products before elsewhere now. Thanks EDOU, FYI, this is not one of those reviews that give free stuff, for a good review. That was not ever mentioned period.

Stopped working correctly after two weeks.
I purchased this for water removal from a pool cover. The pump worked great initially, especially after having a rainy week. However, it stopped working properly after 2 weeks. The automatic pump did not engage/turn on. Upon inspection of the pump, there was no debris blocking suction and there was significant water present where the pump should have automatically turn on. There was no disconnect of power that would cause it to stop working. Later in the evening, the pump randomly turned on to siphon the water completely only to fail a few hours later when additional water built up.

Great Pump !
This is the perfect little pump for our in-ground pool cover. The base is designed to help prevent debris from clogging the vents. The electrical cord is plenty long enough as is the exhaust hose. Well made, well designed. Very satisfied

Automatic feature works great!
This is a great Pool cover pump with an automatic feature. It has a long power cord and hose, but tips over easier than other ones I've had. It also runs for about 30 seconds after it is tipped over and set upright. Still, I'm extremely happy with it.

Lasted less than 2 winters. Cheaply made.
At first I thought this pump was a great value. The first winter it did an outstanding job pumping and siphoning water from my pool cover. It didn't shut off so we had to unplug it each time. I just went to plug it in and it stopped working. Checked all connections, extension cords etc. It's just kaput. The build quality is pretty chintzy. The power cord is very thin and connections are exposed. It worked fine initially but this is clearly not designed for long term use. My previous Little Giant pump lasted for over 20 years. I just bought another Little Giant to replace this piece of junk.

Awesome- (tipping over issue solved in review)
I live in South Florida where the rain is heavy and comes from out of nowhere. This pump is amazing and keeps my pool cover empty during downpours. The only issue I had was it would keep tipping over and to solve that issue all you need to do is take a 5 gallon bucket lid and throw it under the pump and you're good to go, no more tipping! (Check out the photo to see how mine is)!No more killing my back trying to scoop out the water with buckets, what a life saver this pump is!

Good little pump, but not as advertised
I finally bit the bullet and got a pool cover pump as I'm now 40 and it's worth the $60 to buy a pump rather than bailing the water out with a bucket to save my back. It works, and seems to do a good job....if you have the time. I have a small circular 14x48 above ground pool that we just use to cool off at during hot summer days. If full, the pool holds 4,000 gallons. I always drain it to about 2/3 full (under the filter intake) before winterizing it and put the cover on. I've had this sucker (no pun intended) going for about 5 hours now and it's barely cleared a few inches off the top of the cover. Is it super quiet, yes...I can barely hear it. Does it do a good job getting water off, yes. But to say its rated at 1200 gph is insane...more like 12 gph. It will save my back, but definitely not at 1200 gph as stated. I don't usually write reviews, but this is a decent product for the money, but does not work to the amount as advertised. I would recommend this product, but just be prepared to take the time it needs to get the job done.
