Lee Flexifile Expandable Organizer, 18 Slot (14118)

Useful for organizing papers to be filed in filing cabinet. 18 spaces makes the item less sturdy than a 12 bay sorter i previously had. It toppled over when bays had items of different sizes or when bulky items were included. I think i will buy a 12 bay sorter in the future.

I had this organizer many years ago in my office in NYC. When I moved to New Orleans, it got lost.It was the best ever and I kept in on my desk.I have been looking for over 25 years to replace it, but I could never find one. Like most people, I have a lot of different areas in my life, each of which (even with computers) seems to delight in producing copious amounts if paper.Making different piles of paper was frustrating and required a lot of flat surfaces. My dog loved jumping on whatever bed I happened to be using, markedly reducing my efficiency and heightening my frustration.I suddenly remembered using one of these at a job years ago, and set off to find one. Not easy, since I didn’t think of the term “collator” until I saw it on another product, clearly flimsy. Other sorters I saw had very short dividers, so papers could easily flop over.Finally landed on this one. More than I wanted to pay (but who “wants” to pay anything?). Now happy to have this. Huge help.Wasn’t sure if 18 slots was more than I needed, but glad to have that many now, probably could make use of more. Wonder if this is like traffic, increasing to fill every lane added?Extremely solid and pulls out smoothly.

I only use it once a year, but that's me procrastinating. If you don't have an overwhelming occasional filing job, good for you, and you are probably not reading this anyway. I hate filing and only do it when I am forced to, meaning once a year when Uncle Sam demands his due. And for that onerous duty, this gadget is a huge time saver and sanity saver, and worth every penny. There is some plastic but all the structural parts are metal. It is built to last.

Perfect for sorting all the papers I need to keep & the pages of projects I tear from magazines. I have several of these sorters. Now all I need is an Administrative Assistant to file them for me! One of these days maybe I'll invest in a good scanner & keep all this stuff in the Cloud.

It's a fair price for a LARGE organizer. Very sturdy. Once it's full, one can still move it from place to place via the handles on the ends, so that is a good feature.

This product is wonderful. It helps me collate my board packets once a month. It's light weight, so I can move it easily when it is full. I recommend this product to anyone needing to keep papers or small binders in order.

I have looked for this product on and off for a few years. My paper piles got bigger and this is helping me sort them and manage them. It's also been very useful for collating reports.
