It absolutely does Work with Dremel, easy to attach,
I'm not sure why there are so many reviews saying this flex- shaft doesn't work with a Dremel brand rotary tool. It absolutely does work and as a matter of fact it' works like a charm.. it's very easy to attach , comfortable to use, has very little vibration, and does not heat up when in use. I've used this to engrave jewelry, carve wood, sand, polish, etc. and have had nothing but positive results This flex shaft attached to a rotary, the rotary plugged into a foot pedal to start & stop is the easiest, most convenient, least expensive , very practical, & safest way to use a rotary tool.

Works with my Proxxon!
I love my Proxxon rotary tool, but their flex shaft attachment costs nearly 5x as much as this one does. I thought I would try a less-expensive version before shelling out the $$ for the Proxxon one.I tried a couple others that didn't fit on my Proxxon. Unlike some "universal" flex shaft attachments, this one seems to *actually* be universal! This fits perfectly and works wonderfully. And I no longer have to dink around with collets when I switch between different sized bits! I put the chuck key on a retractable badge reel and clipped it to the hanger on my Proxxon so I can't lose it, but can still quickly and easily grab and use it.The handpiece is comfortable to hold for longer sculpting jobs. And if I hadnt purchased this myself, I never would have guessed it was so inexpensive. It feels like a sturdy yet lightweight piece of equipment, unlike some other brands that feel like a cheap toy.I have have used it multiple times for several hours straight, and have yet to find any downsides to it.

Gets got but it does the jib
Got this to trim dog nails since dremel next to them spooks em.I poured oil inside the handle and where it attached to tool. There are bearings there that have to spin and I did. It see any lubricant anywhere. Dry bearings are on life supportAs for using it, works just fine for 5-7 min at time then let it cool off

Works for at least an hour.
Used for 45 minutes and still working. After starring at the channel of despair for days I took a chance. The railing was bumpy, my grip unshure. But armed with this modern wand from the old mages handbook I was able to cross the channel. It was not fun or easy but I made it. There is a definite trail of debry marking my path. I will need to smooth it out as not to be followed. The Tab man has many Allies . I fear my journey is far from over. More tools will be needed.

Seems to break down easily
Don’t buy if you’re a serious crafter/artist/creator. The product is good for the money if used lightly. However, I’m on my second unit and just like the first, the cable somehow disengages internally within the cable. There are no instructions or manuals on how to repair therefore rendering the product useless. I used it for less than one hour and it failed exactly like the first one. I would recommend looking for something with better consistent performance and a better warranty.

Worked well for about a year with minimal use
I bought this flex shaft to use with my Wen rotary tool. It fit perfectly and screwed into the existing Wen chuck. I used it maybe 2-3 times a month for light wood carving. The chuck is cheaply made and after a few uses I had to use pliers to tighten any bits securely. It does feel very comfortable when using even though there is a bit of vibration. The overall use of the tool was probably around 7 hours total before it completely failed. My Wen rotary tool spins but the bit at the end of the shaft doesn't. My guess is that the internal shaft broke because it was made from cheaper metals. I didn't abuse or overwork the tool in any way that would cause it to break. For the price it was a great tool while it lasted. If you're looking for a long term flex shaft I would suggest that you don't buy this tool. Spend the extra money and get something that will last you for years.

Absolutely perfect for my needs
I got this attachment because I carve and sculpt. The rotary tool that I have is bulky, and cumbersome to use in that type of application. This feels more like a sculpting/carving tool, and is perfect for fitting into my hand. It does get a little warm during use, and the RPM usually dictates how quickly it will heat up. Easy to change bits, and attach to the tool itself.

It really works well in tight spaces.
Using the actual Dremel is bulky and difficult to get the correct angle in the small spaces. This attaches to the Dremel and the attachments work nicely on a compact hand held unit, especially in the tighter spaces. It will warm up in your hand after continuous use so I adjust the amount of run time to compensate for the additional warmth. I highly recommend this unit for finish work on those small items that require a smooth finish.

Bien
