It's the first day of Ramadan, and George is celebrating with his friend Kareem and his family. George helps Kareem with his first fast and joins in the evening celebration of tasting treats and enjoying a special meal. Then George helps make gift baskets to donate to the needy, and watches for the crescent moon with the man in the yellow hat. Finally George joins in the Eid festivities to mark the end of his very first Ramadan. This playful tabbed board book makes a great holiday gift for all fans of Curious George—those who celebrate Ramadan, and those who are learning about it for the first time. Review: Great Eid gift for a little - Great representation and a cute story. My son loved it. Came in time for Eid! Great book, perfect quality, came brand-new, no damage.
My daughter LOVES this book! We read it multiple times every week! It’s so cute and hits all the major traditions of Ramadan without getting into heavy philosophy. So happy to have an English-centered book respecting Islam. We are American and it has been difficult to find kids books that are written in plain English, with an American-style culture that respects and explains parts of Islam in an everyday sort of way- just like you find millions of books explaining other religious holidays. I grew up reading Curious George and have fond memories. I’m glad my daughter and other kids still have these stories to enjoy! The hope is we can share this book with schoolmates for show and tell, or at least when Ramadan comes again (because it moves eleven days earlier each year) so she can participate in sharing part of her lifestyle with others (she goes to a secular school). Overall, exactly what you would expect from a Curious George story!

Everyone loved it
I bought this book as a Ramadan gift for all my nephews and nieces. The parents immediately fell in love with the book. It reminded them of their childhood characters (Curious George) and were amazed to see that they had a Ramadan book. They enjoyed reading the book to the kids during Ramadan and talking about it among the children and adults. It was great to see how much the adult also enjoyed the book.

Super cute introduction to Islamic holidays
I got this book as a gift for a child who celebrated their first Eid and first Ramadan. It’s a short read cute and does a great job covering what Ramadan and Eid are all about. It’s perfect for young ones who would like to learn about their own background but also for those who would like to learn about important holidays different from their own.

diversity!
We aren't Muslim, but what with all the Curious George, Madeline, Clifford's Christmases and Halloweens on our bookshelf (not to mention the abundance of white boys and girls), we simply felt the need to introduce Eid and Ramadan to our family. Other kids at school also celebrate different holidays, so it's useful to start conversations with the offspring. I was a little surprised to find half way through the words were a sing-song rhyme, like some classics; this isn't necessary (most classic Georges don't rhyme), and I found it a bit distracting, but not too contrived.

Huge hit with my toddler
Originally bought this for my son last Ramadan. He loves it, insists we read it at least once a week since. I've bought another as a gift for my nephew this Ramadan. The book is well written and an easy read. The illustrations are relatable. I can see it being a firm favourite in my house for a while. My son is now almost 3 and my nephew is almost 4.

Great book to teach toddlers ramadan on the base of quran and sunnah / Sehr schönes Buch für Kleinkinder nach Quran und Sunnah
This book surprised me, because i didnt expect a book like this so near to the sunnah. Breaking fast with dates and milk, mummy with hijab and father with beard, "the peaceful sound of prayer" ist mentioned. The book has a great quality and is filled with beautiful pictures and colors. George the little monkey accompanys the little boy kareem through his first ramadan. Full of joy and positive motivation! Sehr empfehlenswert.
