Great value sim card
I've never used GiffGaff before, so decided to send for a couple of sim cards, as they are only 1p each. One certainly can not grumble about the price, even if you decide this network is not for you. However, you do not know the number until you do the following:1. Register for a GiffGaff account with your email address - You will be sent a link with your username.2. Follow the link, where it gives you a choice of plans which are quite good value (for example for £10 per month you can get 3GB of data, unlimited calls and unlimited texts - (for example, 3 offer 2GB and unlimited calls/texts for £10).3. (This is the tricky bit)... You need to supply your full details, including name and address and debit/credit card details for your recurring plan cost to be deducted monthly.4. However - not to fret, you can chose the voucher option, where you can purchase your voucher from most retail outlets. So you simply input the voucher number which will top up your mobile and deduct the amount you chose for your plan from your voucher amount but you also need to input your name and address before activation is completed and upon doing that, your sim is activated and available to use.So you won't know your number until all of this is completed.Plans can be changed at any time and do seem 'very' reasonable compared to other networks. GiffGaff uses the o2 network

Giffgaff Nano/Micro/Standard SIM.
I could put £10 on it and it would last a few months, not the case, the call’s are very expensive (I think 10p a minute) and never received the £5 credit on giffgaff. We ended up adding a monthly goodie bag for £6 that was unlimited calls. A good value SIM card if you are looking for a no contract deal for your mobile. I use ours in a 4G+ LTE router - as a home internet backup solution to unreliable BT Broadband. I can almost instantly bung on credit or a "bundle" and away we go. Giffgaff runs on the O2 network - which is the best for us as regards download speeds. Obviously, that is dependent on geography and you may find other providers offer better reception.

giffgaff SIM great value.
You need to buy 10 GBP of credit to activate the SIM and get the 5 GBP credit with the SIM.Giffgaff once you've signed up witll *hound* you with advertising emails and texts, and getting them turned off is *work*.I used to love Giffgaff, but they seem to have hired run-of-the-mill moron-managers who think this kind of customer treatment is exactly what's needed for business. The service itself, in so much as I used it (just to receive SMSs) worked fine.I originally purchased this as it was grouped together with a tracker that I purchased. To be fair it worked OK at first apart from having to jump hoops to get PAYG without a monthly package. Something changed and it no longer worked in the tracker. I even purchased a replacement tracker to no avail, then a replacement SIM from giffgaff, still no success. I suspect that they stopped supporting 2G as the SIM still worked fine in a smartphone. I finally switched the number to that of a Virgin SIM as Virgin like many others stopped supporting PAYG.I originally purchased this as it was grouped together with a tracker that I purchased.
