Simple and well laid out
Ok so it’s not colored but the content is simple and well put for my 2nd grader. I supplement with YouTube videos and we discuss. My daughter loves this book, it is not overwhelming and it is perfectly laid out. I see no way this book can be improved for our needs....... ok well maybe colored pics would be nice to have but lack of color doesn’t warrant any deductions of stars for us.

Great!
We use this for homeschooling. It makes it easy since each subject is divided in daily tasks.

LOVE
We homeschool and I know these are said NOT to be a complete curriculum but we use them as a main source. They are thurough and interesting and we almost always continue our conversation and research more on the lessons beyond what the book provides but it definitely gives a jumping point. This has become my sons favorite subject. My only (sorta big) complaint is that I have not been able to get the online portion to work. If I could log in to the online videos it would be a homerun.

Great for critical thinking
As a child, this might be a bit boring as it doesn't have any attractive color or anything standing out that would make it particularly fun for a 7 year old. As a parent, I love the critical thinking activities and the lay out of the progression. I.e. week one day 3 etc. It helps my child think for themself and self motivate knowing what he needs to get done on any given day.

Needs to be revised
The first week of lessons doesn’t teach the topics before asking the child to write answers to it. My son can’t write sentences about his community in the past without first being taught what his community was in the past. Additionally there is a lesson about landmarks with facts about the Statue of Liberty, the White House and Mount Rushmore. It is followed by drawings of the landmarks and a space for the students to write a fact about each landmark. The problem is they had a picture of the Capitol, not the White House. We haven’t finished the book, but I am sure there will be more issues.

Great 2nd Grade Social Studies Workbook
We ordered this book to complete our homeschooling journey this year. We took our son out of public/virtual school in November 2020. This book has been a great addition to his daily routine!I've included the cover and a picture of today's assignment ☺️
